While The Usos lost the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships, Roman Reigns has reached the milestone of being the champ for 1000 days.

Roman Reigns captured the WWE Universal Champion by defeating Bray Wyatt's "The Fiend" and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match in August 2020 at the Payback Premium Live Event. On Saturday, May 27, 'The Tribal Chief' completed 1000 days as Universal Champion and it has been announced that he is set to celebrate the massive feat on the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Recently, the Night of Champions 2023 main event match saw shocking developments as cracks start to show in The Bloodline. Undisputed Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn made their first defense at a WWE premium live event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. They went up against the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa.

The final moments of the match saw The Usos come out to attack Owens and Zayn. However, The Usos accidentally hit super kick to Solo, upsetting Reigns. 'The Tribal Chief' piefaced The Usos before Jimmy hit a superkick to Reigns twice. Jimmy told Jey that they need to leave Roman. This led to Owens and Zayn hitting their finishers to Solo for the win.

Reigns' manager Paul Heyman had seemingly indicated to fans that on the upcoming episode of SmackDown, the incidents which happened at Night of Champions 2023 would be addressed.
