Matt Cardona knows exactly who he wants to face before he calls it a career, and it just so happens that his dream opponents are all part of WWE.

The former Zack Ryder has done very well for himself since his release from WWE in 2020 and has reinvented himself as a heel in many promotions. Cardona is a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, IMPACT Wrestling Digital Media Champion, and GCW World Heavyweight Champion. He also currently holds several titles in independent promotions.

Like any wrestler out there, Cardona has his picks for who he wants to face before ending his career. When asked about a dream match, the 38-year-old wrestler said it was a three-way tie between three of the biggest names in WWE.

While a match with Rhodes would be highly possible in the event that Cardona returned to WWE, matches with Cena and Edge may be out of his reach. Cena competes very rarely for WWE these days due to his busy Hollywood schedule. While Edge competes more than the 16-time WWE World Champion, he has openly spoken about retiring in the near future, so the clock is ticking for Matt Cardona.

Cardona has a history with all three men. After his WWE exit, Rhodes played a major role in bringing the former U.S. Champion to AEW, though he would not stick with the promotion. In 2012, Cena and Zack Ryder appeared together multiple times on Raw as part of John's feud with Kane. Years prior, Ryder would be part of 'La Familia,' the Edge-led faction that was focused on keeping the Rated-R Superstar as World Heavyweight Champion in 2008.
