On Monday, there had been rumblings that there might be changes coming to some WWE stars, but no names were mentioned until now. Not all gimmicks are home runs, but rather only a handful will work without changes being made or scrapped entirely and switched to something else.

The Maximum Male Models could be getting a gimmick change, as Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Mansoor and Mace may be repackaged. For now, the details are said to be few far and few between as to what that means as their time in WWE as a tag team has been up and down with start and stop pushes with bad gimmicks.

They were originally paired with Max Dupri, now known as LA Knight, because at the time, Vince McMahon hadn’t seen him as an in-ring talent so despite his work in NXT. He put him as a manager for them. Once Triple H took over and knew what he presented as a wrestler, he dropped the gimmick in favor of bringing back the Knight character.

This led to Maxxine Dupri replacing him before being pulled and put with Chad Gable and Otis full-time. Maxxine was booked for a recent WWE party as a part of Maximum Male Models.

The report stated that those in WWE creative have said McMahon was originally high on Maximum Male Models, but made sure to not portray them to be “flamboyant.” Triple H encouraged that once taking over creative. Since McMahon returned, that element has been scaled back as has their usage in general.
