Vince McMahon may not be officially in charge of WWE programming, but that didn't stop the boss from making changes to this week's Raw.

It was in January that McMahon returned to WWE after strongarming his way back onto the board of directors. While Triple H remains WWE's Chief Content Officer, McMahon has made some changes to the on-screen product. The biggest changes came on the Raw after WrestleMania 39, a show that was critically panned by fans as the first post-Mania Raw in history.

This week's episode of Monday Night Raw aired from the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas, and saw the red brand continue to build towards Money in the Bank. Fightful Select reports that McMahon was not present at Raw but had been making changes remotely "per usual." It is unclear what changes exactly the Executive Chairman made to the show.

McMahon wasn't at this week's Raw but he was present at last week's show in the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Fightful noted that given he was not at this week's show, that should put to rest any speculation that McMahon will be returning to the road. The reason that he was at the June 5, episode of Raw was that the show was in close proximity (relatively speaking) to WWE HQ,.

The changes made to the June 5, episode of Raw were largely timing and match order, sources told Fightful. WWE talent have largely said they prefer him making the changes remotely, though last week was one of the more positively received Raws of the year. Despite his presence backstage last week, it was not believed that McMahon would be returning to the road despite him sitting in Gorilla Position.
