CM Punk has shared exactly why he's returning to AEW, ahead of his return to the ring on this Saturday's Collision.

The controversial former World Champion will make his return to programming this week on the premiere episode of AEW Collision. For Punk, his return comes over nine months since he last appeared at the infamous AEW All Out 2022 pay-per-view.

Punk's post-All Out comments, his role in the backstage fight, and an injury suffered during his main event match with Jon Moxley, resulted in Punk being stripped of the AEW World Championship following the September event.
CM Punk Still Has Scores To Settle

During this week's AEW Dynamite, a video promo highlighting Punk's success in AEW was aired. In the promo, Punk himself claimed that the only thing certain about CM Punk right now, is that nothing is certain about CM Punk.

Addressing his impending return, Punk said he is returning to AEW for the same reason he joined the promotion in 2021: because he has "scores to settle" and "things left to do."

Punk claimed he has no idea what he is going to do or say in Chicago's United Center this weekend until he has a microphone in his hand. The video ends with a nod to Punk's 2011 WWE 'Pipe Bomb' with the 'Best in the World' saying he has "a lot of things to get off my chest.

This weekend's AEW Collision will see Punk compete for the first time since AEW All Out. The Chicago-Made wrestler will team with AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR to face Jay White, Juice Robinson, and ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe.
