Trinity has captured her first IMPACT Knockouts World Championship after joining the promotion earlier this year.

In the penultimate match of this year's Slammiversary pay-per-view, Trinity captured her first IMPACT title from fellow WWE alum Deonna Purrazzo. Trinity got the submission victory to win her first championship following her exit from WWE.

After she and Mercedes Mone walked out of WWE in May 2022, the two eventually parted ways with the company. Mone would debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling at this year's Wrestle Kingdom event in Tokyo (a show that Trinity made the trip to Japan to see in person.)

During the May 4, episode of IMPACT on AXS TV, Trinity made her debut for the promotion in her first on-screen appearance at a wrestling event since the walkout of the previous year. Trinity immediately made it clear that she was seeking the Knockouts Championship, which brought out Purrazzo. During the June 1, episode of IMPACT on AXS TV, Trinity would formally challenge Purrazzo to a title match, which was accepted by the now-former Knockouts Champion.

Trinity was obviously thrilled to become the new IMPACT World Championship, and the first African-American woman to hold championship gold for both IMPACT and WWE. It turns out that Trinity had some extra special support at Slammiversary as prior to the show, it was reported that Mercedes Mone would be at the event. Mone was present for Trinity's debut for IMPACT Wrestling in May but did not appear on the broadcast.
