Chad Gable will get his shot at GUNTHER and the WWE Intercontinental Championship next week on Monday Night Raw. The company announced the news on social media during this week's episode of the show.

This week on Raw, GUNTHER cut a promo on Chad Gable and Alpha Academy, which led to two matches. First, Gable defeated Giovanni Vinci. When the match ended, GUNTHER was furious and demanded a match against Otis. Otis accepted the match, but was defeated.
GUNTHER has held the Intercontinental Championship for 425 days and just past Pedro Morales to become the second longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history. He now only trails Honky Tonk Man as the longest reigning IC Champion ever.
Gable is former WWE Tag Team Champion and NXT Tag Team Champion. He has not held a singles title during his time on the main roster.
