IMPACT Wrestling star Steve Maclin recently made it clear that he is on his way to making a comeback to in-ring competition.

Steve Maclin had sustained a groin tear during the IMPACT Down Under Tour. The injury put him on the shelf since the end of June. Maclin was pulled from IMPACT Slammiversary due to the injury. For the show, Maclin was set to team with Bully Ray and face PCO & Scott D'Amore.

Maclin was replaced by Deaner while PCO was replaced by Eric Young. Earlier this year, Maclin also dropped the Impact World Title to Alex Shelley at Against All Odds. Maclin had held the title since April, when he defeated KUSHIDA at Rebellion.

Steve Maclin's wife Deonna Purrazzo recently provided an update on him. Speaking on Cultaholic's Desert Island Graps, she was asked about Maclin's condition. Purrazzo revealed that Maclin saw the doctor and revealed that his husband is on his way to making a return. She said:

"He's good. He just saw the doctor [Monday, August 14) and got some good news. He's on the way up. He's on his way to a return. I don't know when that will be, but he's on the up and up," said Purrazzo.

Steve Maclin is 100% cleared

While the fans speculated about his return, Maclin himself took to his Twitter account and confirmed that he will be back in the ring. He wrote:

"100% cleared & ready to cause #MayhemForAll.
