Seth Rollins has provided a health update, shedding light on the challenges he's been facing with his physical well-being.

During this week's WWE Raw, Rollins shared that he is contending with fractures in his lumbar spine, a condition that has been progressively deteriorating for over four years.

The revelation came in response to comments made by his upcoming opponent, Shinsuke Nakamura, who had earlier hinted at being aware of Rollins' back issues.

Rollins disclosed that he currently has two fractures in his lumbar spine, a condition he has been grappling with for an extended period. The wrestler admitted that he's uncertain how much longer he can sustain his current level of performance, given the severity of the injury.

Rollins did emphasize that injuries are an inherent part of the demanding world of professional wrestling, acknowledging that dealing with physical setbacks is a norm in the industry.

In a previous interview on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast in July, Rollins opened up about his ongoing battle with various injuries. He revealed that his knee troubles date back to before WrestleMania, and he's been grappling with neck and lower back issues since 2019. While juggling his intense WWE schedule, Rollins pursued stem cell treatments to alleviate the discomfort. However, he admitted that while these treatments offered temporary relief, they weren't a sustainable solution in the long run.

As Seth Rollins prepares to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at Payback 2023, the looming specter of his ongoing injury adds uncertainty to the upcoming showdown.

The narrative surrounding Rollins' back troubles has become an integral part of his feud with Nakamura, with WWE leveraging these concerns to intensify the rivalry as they journey toward the Payback clash.

Payback is set to take place on September 2 at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
