Seven-time IMPACT Knockouts Champion Gail Kim will be competing for the first time in years as part of the promotion's 1,000th episode.

In a video promo, Kim confirmed that she will be coming out of retirement for the show, where she will team up with Awesome Kong. Calling Kong her greatest rival, Kim said the show would be the right time to celebrate IMPACT's Knockouts division. An open challenge was laid out for all Knockouts, past and present, to "stand with us, or against us."

It was confirmed earlier this week that Kong will be competing at the event, in what will also be her first match in years.

In addition to being a seven-time Knockouts Champion (an all-time record,) Kim is the inaugural Knockouts Champion, having won the title in 2007. Gail Kim is also a former IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Champion, holding the titles with Madison Rayne. Kim's efforts would result in her being named PWI's #1 female wrestling in the world in 2012 and would become the first female inductee into IMPACT's Hall of Fame in 2016.

Gail Kim and Awesome Kong will be just two parts of a stacked show celebrating 1,000 episodes of IMPACT programming. The card for the show so far is as follows:

Kenny King (c) Vs. Tommy Dreamer (IMPACT Digital Media Championship Vs. Career Match)
Gail Kim & Awesome Kong Vs. TBA
Team 3D (Bully Ray & Devon) Vs. TBA
Frankie Kazarian & Traci Brooks Vs. Eddie Edwards & Alisha Edwards
Alex Shelley (c) Vs. Trey Miguel (IMPACT World Championship)

The Beautiful People (Angelina Love & Velvet Sky) have also been confirmed for the show.
