Roman Reigns has reached yet another milestone in his career after making it to three years as the WWE Universal Champion.

Reigns' historic tenure as champion began on August 30, 2020, at that year's Payback event. Reigns, who had returned to WWE TV the week prior at SummerSlam, defeated 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a triple-threat match to capture the gold. Reigns entered the match near the closing moments of the bout, signing a contract to make his participation in the bout official mere moments before his title victory.

Roman Reigns' tenure as champion has seen the Head of the Table make history time and again. Roman Reigns is the first, and only, champion to have defended a title at three back-to-back WrestleManias, all within the same title reign. The dominant Superstar also boasts the longest reign of any champion since WrestleMania 1 in 1985. In January 2022, Reigns surpassed Brock Lesnar to boast the longest reign of any Universal Champion in history.

Reigns isn't scheduled to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at this weekend's Payback Premium Live Event. The Tribal Chief's next title defense will likely be at WWE's next Saudi Arabia event, which will be on November 4, 2023.

Many predict that Reigns will remain champion until WrestleMania 40, with some predicting he will finally lose the gold to Cody Rhodes at the event. Rhodes unsuccessfully challenged Reigns at WrestleMania 39 earlier this year, with some suggesting that WWE is saving the American Nightmare's victory of the 40-year milestone of WrestleMania.

lol I would laugh so much if Reigns did not lose at Mania. If he takes on Cody Rhodes, everyone will think Rhodes will win, WWE should turn it around and have Reigns win.
