CM Punk is a problem that has now been 'solved' according to WWE Hall of Famer and AEW Correspondent Mark Henry.

The 'Real World Champion' was released from AEW this week following an investigation into what transpired backstage at AEW All In. The Straightedge wrestler was involved in a backstage altercation with Jack Perry that resulted in Punk choking Perry out. Punk reportedly threatened to quit AEW and at one point it was feared that his All In match with Samoa Joe would not go ahead as planned.

CM Punk's release ends his two-year tenure with the promotion, which saw plenty of backstage drama surrounding the self-proclaimed locker room leader. On Busted Open Radio, Henry said that AEW should (in theory) experience smooth sailing from here on.

"The problem is gone. The problem is solved... Now, you can freely go and there will be no more complaining. There should be no more complaining. The problem is gone. The so-called problem is. Everything should be shits and giggles and unicorn pee and rainbow blankets. That's what it should be now. I'm curious to see how it's going to be. The problem is solved."

AEW has already been moving on without CM Punk and hosted its All Out pay-per-view event last Sunday. Despite concerns of a pro-Punk crowd hijacking the event in Chicago, the event has received high praise from viewers. The show's main event saw Jon Moxley win the International title from Orange Cassidy.
