Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of Roman Reigns, who was last seen with a victory over Jey Uso at SummerSlam in August 2023.

Now, the plans for Reigns’ return have been unveiled. Dave Meltzer recently shared details in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. According to Meltzer, Reigns is set to reappear on WWE programming in the lead-up to his next bout, which is reportedly scheduled for November 4, 2023, in Saudi Arabia.

This coincides with WWE's announcement of Crown Jewel's return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking a return to the kingdom from the last visit to the country on May 27 for Night of Champions.

The Tribal Combat match at SummerSlam saw Reigns successfully defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. It also had significant consequences, as it led to Jey Uso's transfer to the Raw roster on September 4, shaking up the landscape of WWE's flagship shows.

Since his win on that summer night, Reigns has been absent from WWE television.

Interestingly enough, Reigns was not even advertised for next year’s Royal Rumble. He is absent from the early promotional poster for the 37th Royal Rumble PLE set to take place on January 27, 2024, at the Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida.

Reigns also got injured in the Tribal Combat match against Jey Uso. He did not appear on WWE Payback, but he is expected to make an appearance at Survivor Series.

I don't really see a problem with Reigns not defending the title that often. It's a World Champions advantage if you ask me.

Lesnar did the same thing. Besides, WWE have enough other belts to focus on. Like The Tag Titles, both the men and women's, not to mention The US Title.
