Significant names have departed WWE on a day in which major layoffs were expected.

Earlier this week, Endeavor's acquisition of WWE was finalized and TKO Group Holdings, consisting of WWE & UFC was launched. WWE CEO Nick Khan would later inform employees via email that layoffs will take place today, with staff being encouraged to work from home so that the matter can be handled discreetly.

PW Insider reports that Jamie Horowitz is no longer with WWE. Horowitz had previously served as the promotion's Executive Vice President of Development and Digital. Horowitz was hired by WWE in June 2021 after previously serving as Executive Vice President of Global Content for DAZN.

Sapp also confirmed that Catherine Newman is no longer with the promotion. Newman started with WWE in June 2022, and throughout her tenure oversaw Marketing, Brand, Community Relations, Entertainment Relations, Creative Services, and Photography.

Prior to her departure, Newman was WWE's Executive Vice President and Head Of Marketing. She previously worked as Chief Marketing Officer for Manchester United Media.

Amanda Bloom, WWE's Director, Enterprise Master Data & Governance, is no longer with the promotion. Bloom was with WWE for seven years and was extremely important behind the scenes for the company's tech department in regard to Metadata, how the company used, scrutinized, and evaluated material. PW Insider described her exit as a "major departure."

Fightful has been able to confirm these departures.

While no WWE Superstars are expected to lose their jobs today, "major cuts" are expected to happen across Raw, SmackDown, and WWE NXT. It is believed that WWE will hold off releasing talent at this time to avoid bad PR by having too many releases at once.
