During his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, The Rock noted that he and Roman Reigns was slated at one point to main event Wrestlemania 39 in Los Angeles.

Dwayne Johnson noted that he, Nick Khan and Vince McMahon all met a year before in Los Angeles and agreed on the idea for the match with the idea that it wasn't going to be the end of something, but the beginning.

Johnson noted that they got close but they "couldn't what that thing was" so they put their pencils down. He noted they had the merger and that it was left open that Wrestlemania was coming to Philadelphia, saying he was open to that show.

He said that the fans deserve something special but also wants to put the locker room in a position where after they have worked their asses they can be part of something that would be a big change or a new era for the business.

Rock said he never thought he'd see Vince McMahon see the company but he's not surprised as Vince was always a big picture guy.

No, it was not. It was always The Rock who was meant to dethrone Reigns, as he is the REAL Tribal Chief!
