Veteran star QT Marshall is not departing AEW amid his contract speculation.

Marshall has been with AEW as an on-air talent and producer since its inception in 2019. It was announced that he was given the role of AEW's Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination in August last year.

Prior to his run with AEW, Marshall worked in Ring of Honor (ROH) and also had a four-year-long stint with WWE. He was involved in WWE's developmental territory, NXT.

Notably, Marshall is also co-owner of and trainer for The Nightmare Factory in Atlanta. The school has produced a plethora of talents such as Ashley D'Amboise, Brooke Havok, Angelica Risk, and The Infantry's Carlie Bravo, who went on to work in AEW and ROH.

Last month, reports around QT Marshall suggested that he was likely to sign a short-term deal as negotiations carried on for a new contract.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has confirmed that Marshall and AEW have been in contract extension talks. It was noted that Marshall had a "brief vacation", and he has continued to work. The report added that Marshall was working without a contract after it expired.

Sapp further reported that the new deal would "keep him around as a performer, in addition to still performing his VP duties, which included him producing Jade Cargill’s last match in AEW." It has also come to light that Marshall’s deal with AEW will go through 2023.

Marshall is currently the AAA Latin American Champion, and he has defended it in AEW. He had secured the title at AAA Triplemania XXXI: CDMX after he defeated Pentagón Jr., Dralístico, and Texano Jr.
