Jay White will challenge AEW World Champion MJF at Full Gear following the events that transpired on this week's Dynamite. The 5th installment of the annual fall PPV is scheduled for Saturday, November 18, 2023 from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
Last week, 'Switchblade' Jay White made it clear that he plans on dethroning MJF and becoming the next AEW World Champion. This week, MJF had a back-and-forth with Juice Robinson and the Gunns which intensified when White attacked the Devil and took his custom BBB World title.
White still with the World Championship in his possession, challenged for the gold at AEW Full Gear. He taunted the champ by saying AEW needs a World Champion that lives up to the name 'elite' - and MJF just doesn't fit the bill. As seen below, Friedman proved once again that he's a fighting champion and accepted the challenge.

Full Gear 2023 will be a significant show for MJF, as it will mark one year since he captured the AEW World Championship. MJF captured the title from Jon Moxley at last year's event thanks to the assistance of William Regal.
After Regal made his intentions to return to WWE clear, he was written off of TV with an attack by MJF, and his betrayal of the Blackpool Combat Club was explained as one final lesson he had for the group.
