The dominant GUNTHER has proved his credentials as Intercontinental Champion yet again by reaching 500 days with the title.

GUNTHER's impressive reign began in June of last year when he dethroned Ricochet. GUNTHER's reign has seen him retain against the likes of Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, and others, and his win over Xavier Woods was especially devastating.

In September, GUNTHER broke the record for the longest reign as Intercontinental Champion. The Imperium leader's final win before breaking the record saw him defeat Chad Gable in a match that made the Olympian's daughter cry, a reaction that GUNTHER relished in. The match was much better received by those within WWE, with GUNTHER & Gable receiving a standing ovation backstage.

With GUNTHER's dominance well established, many are optimistic about the Imperium leader's future prospects. Some are considering GUNTHER a favorite in the Men's 2024 Royal Rumble match, especially given his allies and his record-breaking performance during this year's match. While GUNTHER believes now is not the right time to move into the World Championship picture, the Austrian is convinced that he will headline next year's Showcase of the Immortals.

While GUNTHER has high expectations for himself in 2024, WWE's upcoming Crown Jewel event will go ahead without the Austrian. GUNTHER is among many names booked for a WWE show in the U.S., that will take place the same night as the November 4, event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
