Logan Paul has captured the WWE United States Champion in a match that also made WWE history.
At WWE Crown Jewel, Paul dethroned Rey Mysterio to win the United States Championship, with some help outside the ring. In the closing moments of the match, an ally of Paul gave him some brass knuckles, and despite Santos Escobar's involvement, Paul used the weapon to capture his first taste of championship gold in WWE. After the match, Paul showed Rey 'respect' but made it clear that he won fair and square.

Rey Mysterio's most recent reign with the United States Championship marks the first time that a U.S. title reign has begun and ended outside of the United States. Rey won the gold during the August 11, 2023, episode of SmackDown by defeating Austin Theory in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Paul's victory at Crown Jewel marks the Maverick's second time defeating Rey Mysterio. In Paul's WWE in-ring debut, he and The Miz defeated Rey & Dominik Mysterio. At that year's SummerSlam, Paul would defeat The Miz before suffering his first loss in WWE at Crown Jewel 2022 against Roman Reigns.
