Could Will Ospreay be a WWE Superstar by this time next year? World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins hopes so.

Considered one of the best wrestlers competing today, Ospreay is currently signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he is the reigning IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion. The Essex-born wrestler has since rebranded the title the United Kingdom Heavyweight Championship.

Ospreay's contract with NJPW will expire next year, and the Billy Goat has hired Barry Bloom to oversee finding his next big contract. Bloom currently represents major names in AEW including Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and 'Hangman' Adam Page, as well as Kevin Nash, Mick Doley, Chris Jericho, and others.

At WWE Crown Jewel, Rollins retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre in the show's opener. After the match, Damian Priest attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract but was thwarted by Sami Zayn.

When WWE shared news of Rollins' successful title defense on Twitter, Ospreay shared the tweet, and judging by his use of emojis, he clearly has his eyes on the reigning World Heavyweight Champion. In response, Rollins was open to the idea of Ospreay challenging him, saying that "the water is warm.

Ospreay has yet to compete for WWE, but that could change soon enough. Last month, the reigning IWGP United Kingdom/States Heavyweight Champion said he was open to a WWE run. Speaking about Rollins, Ospreay said that a feud with the Architect "does intrigue me quite a lot."
