Before NXT jumps ship to The CW in October 2024, they might be making another big move WrestleMania weekend.
NXT Stand & Deliver has become one of the brand's tentpole PLEs considering it coincides with WWE's biggest event of the year in WrestleMania and social media account WrestleVotes has given a new report regarding a potential change in the works for where the event may exactly land on the WrestleMania week calender.
According to the report, some in WWE are for Stand & Deliver "opening" WrestleMania week of sorts with the PLE taking place as early as the Thursday before WrestleMania 40.
However, there's also a bit of a pushback as to repositioning the show, with a source saying that the move “makes sense to some, it’s not ideal for others.”
If the move were to be made, Stand & Deliver is planned to hail from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, which is the home of the Philadelphia 76ers and the Philadelphia Flyers.
WrestleMania 40 will be going down a stone's throw away from that venue, taking place at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. The NFL stadium can hold a capacity of over 67,500 while the Wells Fargo Center can hold 21,000.
Either way, NXT performing in front of that many fans is a drastic change from their typical audience count considering they hold the majority of their events at the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center. WrestleMania 40 will take place on April 6 and April 7, 2024.
