The WWE Universe may have seen the last of John Cena on TV for the time being now that the strike by SAG-AFTRA union members has come to an end.

John Cena's recent return to WWE has been his longest stint with the company in years. As part of this return, Cena has feuded with The Bloodline. The Greatest of All Time teamed with LA Knight to defeat Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa at WWE Fastlane last month. Last week, however, Sikoa defeated Cena at WWE Crown Jewel, meaning Cena has still yet to win a singles match at a WWE Premium Live Event in over five years.

A tentative agreement has been reached between SAG-AFTRA and major film studios, after 118 days of strikes. This may end Cena's WWE return as the strike gave John the necessary free time to make his WWE return possible. Speaking on After the Bell's 200th episode, Cena said he checked with the people at SAG whether he was allowed to return to wrestling during the strike, and got a written legal permission. With the strike over, Cena will be returning to his various film and television projects that have been delayed by the strike.

Details are sparse about what exactly the new deal reached will entail. The union has said the new deal is valued at over $1 billion and includes pay increases higher than what other unions received this year. A "streaming participation bonus" and regulations on AI are also included. Concerns over the use of AI to digitally add performers to a project without proper compensation was one of the biggest topics during the strike.
