Indie star Jay Malachi has seemingly dropped some hints regarding a possible move to WWE after relinquishing the DPW World Championship.

DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling recently made the announcement that Jay Malachi has relinquished the World title following his victory over Alec Price at DPW World's Strongest. It has been also announced that a new champion will be crowned at DPW 2nd Anniversary on December 10.

"Jay Malachi was a key member of the DPW roster for 2 years; Malachi was the 3rd World Champion & the 2023 Carolina Classic winner. He finished up his scheduled dates with DPW at World's Strongest & we wish him all the best as he continues to take over the world! Thank you Jay."

Jay Malachi is a rising star in independent wrestling and there have been reports that he has reportedly signed with WWE. This comes following what seemed to have been a tryout approximately a month ago. Fans on social media have instantly expressed enthusiasm and support for the big move, albeit some may not be aware of his accolades.

The 19-year-old superstar took the indie wrestling scene by storm and has wrestled for West Coast Pro, Combat Zone Wrestling, and Deadlock Pro Wrestling, which helped Malachi to make a name for himself.

Jay has competed for WWE's rival All Elite Wrestling three times in addition to his success in the independent circuit. Last year, he began working with Fuego Del Sol. He was defeated by The WorkHorsemen in a tag match in 2023, and he was later defeated by Jeff Jarrett and his friends in a six-man tag match.

A purported hiring freeze by WWE apparently kept most new wrestlers from signing with the company for the majority of the year. However, after the Endeavor merger was completed, that appears to have altered and fresh talents could be joining in soon.
