Wrestling fans are anticipating the potential return of former ten-time WWE Champion Randy Orton. His last match was a tag team loss alongside Matt Riddle against The Usos to unify the tag titles on the May 20, 2022 episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown.

He has been out of action for over a year due to a back fusion, with his doctors advising him never to wrestle again. However, it seems Orton will be making a comeback very soon.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported on October 13 that WWE and Orton were planning for him to return for the WWE Survivor Series on November 25. WWE hasn't announced that "The Viper" will appear or wrestle, but fans believe he may be involved with one of the featured matchups.

At the upcoming premium live event, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn will take on The Judgement Day (Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor & JD McDonagh) in the Men's War Games Match. The storyline between the two groups has been building for a few months, with the WWE Survivor Series potentially being the feud's climax.

However, WWE delivered a twist by having Drew McIntyre helping Balor and Priest defeat Rhodes and Uso for the WWE Raw and Smackdown Tag Team Championships on the November 13 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. The show ended with McIntyre seemingly joining The Judgement Day against the "babyface" team. This has led fans to believe Orton could return to even the odds.

Orton isn't currently advertised to appear on the November 20 WWE Monday Night Raw episode. Although, his return could be a surprise.

WWE is advertising that McIntyre will start the show to address his actions from the November 13 episode. It's possible he could be added to the Men's War Games Match alongside The Judgement Day, making the "babyface" team have to find a partner.

Fans who attended the November 13 episode got a tease from Rhodes after the show when he shared that he and Uso had someone who could help them. The fans immediately chanted "The Viper's" name, furthering the anticipation of him being involved.

While fans anticipate Orton's return on WWE Monday Night Raw, he could be a surprise reveal for the upcoming PLE. Regardless, all signs seem to point towards the former WWE Champion returning soon after over a year of recovery.
