16-time WWE World Champion John Cena enjoyed a short comeback with the company over the last few months. The opportunity presented for him to return due to the SAG-AFTRA Strike, which halted the production of movies and TV. He returned on the September 1 episode of Friday Night Smackdown and was involved in a short feud with The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa).

While fans enjoyed the Hollywood superstar's return, it would end in less than three months. Cena's last match was a loss to Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel on November 4. The Bloodline member attacked him repeatedly with the Samoan Spike to effectively write him off TV. Soon after the premium live event, he would undergo surgery on one of his arms on November 10.

This signaled to fans that his comeback run with the company was seemingly over. Another sign was that the SAG-AFTRA strike would end on November 9, with the expectation that he could be returning to acting.

On November 21, Cena shared on Twitter that he had surgery on his other arm as he looks toward recovery.

"Thank you for the autograph, @JeffDugasMD! So very grateful to him and his whole team for two successful surgeries. A world-class facility that has me ready to seize the day… with two repaired arms," wrote Cena.

It's unclear what caused the injuries, but it leaves his future in WWE in limbo.
