The card for this weekend's WWE NXT Deadline was shaped dramatically during this week's go-home episode of the gold brand.
The December 5, 2023, episode saw Roxanne Perez & Kiana James continue their feud with has been building since before Halloween Havoc. During the fatal four-way Women's Iron Survivor Qualifer, Perez and James continued fighting to the backstage area. To ensure this will not be repeated, NXT head Shawn Michaels has booked Perez Vs. James at NXT Deadline in a Steel Cage match.

This week's NXT also saw the continuation of the storyline as to who attacked Trick Williams. Carmelo Hayes is seen as the prime suspect by many and Lexis King has often tried to paint Hayes as the culprit. Desperate to prove he had nothing to do with the attack on Trick despite mounting evidence, Hayes will face King this weekend at NXT Deadline.
