WWE is wrapping up 2023 in style, as their business is still booming in a big way. This week's episode of WWE SmackDown will help them get through a tricky situation with the Holiday Season, but it will require extra work on December 15th.

PW Insider reported to confirm that WWE will be taping two episodes of SmackDown this week on December 15th. The December 22nd episode will also go down in Green Bay, much to the delight of those lucky fans.

"This Friday's Smackdown taping in Green Bay, Wisconsin will feature WWE taping two episodes, PWInsider.com has learned.

WWE will broadcast live this Friday and then tape the 12/22 episode in advance."

We will have complete spoilers for the December 22nd episode of WWE SmackDown when they are made available. Those should go up after the December 15th episode of WWE SmackDown concludes this week.

Christmas Day falls on a Monday this year, raising inquiries about the red brand's schedule. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, no show is being recorded for the December 25 episode of the red brand. Instead, the intention is to air a 'Best Of 2023' show spanning three hours. While WWE has not officially affirmed this plan, an executive mentioned to the Observer that, to the best of his knowledge, the reports about a 'Best Of' show are accurate.

WWE is giving their talent a break for the end of the year. NXT is taping multiple episodes to allow for the Christmas Holiday as well. It is a change of pace for WWE, but this is also a different time in the company's history.
