WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley's run has faced a serious roadblock as the Australian Superstar is dealing with a serious injury.

Ripley was injured during the April 8, 2024, episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, PW Insider reports. On the show, Ripley was involved in a backstage brawl with former ally Liv Morgan.

It's not specified what part of Morgan's attack has led to Ripley being injured. Many suspect that Liv's initial attack which saw her throw a chair at the head of the Australian Superstar may have been the culprit.

Ripley's injury is so severe that there has been talk within WWE that she may be forced to vacate the Women's World Championship. If so, the title vacating may happen as soon as the April 15, 2024, edition of Raw. She has held the title since WrestleMania 39 (when it was the SmackDown Women's Championship) and recently defended the gold at WrestleMania 40 against Becky Lynch.

This is a terrible situation for Ripley who has established herself as one of the biggest and brightest stars in WWE, regardless of sex. Since capturing the gold in 2023, the Judgment Day member has proven to be a hit with WWE fans around the world and her popularity led to her main eventing in Australia at WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth.

With that in mind, the decision to vacate the title will not be an easy one for those involved to make but may be a necessary one. As for now, we at SE Scoops are wishing Ripley the very best.

It is a little hard to say if the title will be vacated without knowing the actual injury. PWInsider are usually good but they seem to not know either. I guess we wait and see how bad it is.
