Show:

We start off tonight’s show with a recap of last week’s show with the announcement of the tag team tournament as well as the latest happenings in the Jackie Gayda/Jeff Jarrett situation; and the Jeff Jarrett/Christian match on Sunday.


Number One Contenders Tournament
Chris Sabin and Sonjay Dutt vs. Austin Aries and Roderick Strong

The start:

Sabin and Strong start things off and Strong with a wrist lock but Sabin reverses. Strong counters with an arm bar. Sabin reverses with a wrist lock. Strong with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Sabin with an arm drag followed by a rana. Sabin with an Irish whip and Strong sends Sabin to the apron. Dutt makes the blind tag and hits a slingshot head scissors after Sabin connects with a forearm to Strong. Aries charges and he gets tossed onto the top rope by Sabin and Dutt followed by a double drop kick to Aries’s head. Aries goes outside the ring and Sabin appears to go for a suicide dive, but he bounces off the ropes when Aries and Strong move out of the way. Dutt with a slingshot pescado off Sabin’s back onto Strong and Aries as we go to commercial.

Mid-match notes:

We are back and Dutt with an Irish whip, but Aries sends Dutt to the apron. Dutt with the Old School Sprinkler followed by a chop and a running back elbow. Dutt with the Sprinkler elbow drop for a two count. Sabin tags in and kicks Aries followed by a snap mare and running kick to Aries’s back for a two count. Aries holds on to the ropes on an Irish whip attempt. Aries with an eye poke and then he runs Sabin’s face along the top rope. Strong tags in and Aries drops Sabin’s head on the top rope and Strong with a belly-to-back suplex with a bridge for a two count. Strong with a kick to Sabin followed by punches. Strong chops Sabin followed by a forearm. Sabin with forearms, but he comes off the ropes into a drop kick. Aries tags in and Strong with a forearm and chop. Aries with a chop of his own to Sabin.

Aries sends Sabin into the corner and then Aries tries to Irish whip Strong into Sabin, but Sabin with a back kick and then he tags in Dutt. Dutt with a missile drop kick to Strong and Aries. Dutt continues the attack with a dragon screw leg whip to Strong followed by one to Aries. Dutt with a drop kick to Strong’s knee followed by a tilt-a-whirl DDT to Strong for a two count that is broken up by Aries. Aries with an Irish whip, but Dutt goes to the apron when Aries charges. Dutt with a cross body from the top rope and then he kicks Aries. Dutt with an Irish whip, but he charges into an elbow from Dutt. Aries goes up top, but Dutt kicks Aries. Dutt puts Strong in the Tree of Woe. Dutt with a neck breaker to Aries while Austin was still in the tree of woe and Sabin with a baseball slide to Aries.

The Finish:

Sabin follows that with a baseball slide to Strong in the tree of woe in the opposite corner. Sabin gets Strong up, but Roderick counters with a back breaker but he can only get a two count. Aries tags in and Strong gets Sabin up as Aries hits a Hart Attack on Sabin for a two count. Strong punches Dutt on the apron. Strong holds Sabin in a full nelson as Aries goes up top, but Sabin moves out of the way and Aries hits Strong. Sabin with an enzuigiri and then he gets Aries up for the Cradle Shock for the three count.

Winners: Chris Sabin and Sonjay Dutt


Backstage:
We see a door in the back and we are told that Christian has been behind closed doors. We go to commercial.

Backstage:
We are back and Cassidy Riley is being interviewed by Terry Taylor. Terry wants to know if Cassidy has talked to Raven since he left last month. Cassidy says that he has called him and nothing happened. He emailed Raven and nothing happened. Cassidy says that he is worried about Raven. From out of nowhere, Jackie Gayda comes out and tells Cassidy that if he talks to Raven he should sit tight because things are going to change drastically unless Jeff Jarrett gives her everything that she deserves. Terry tells Jackie that it is Cassidy’s interview time, but Jackie says that it is her time now. Jackie asks Cassidy and Terry if they want to know what has been going on. Jackie says that she has waited long enough and her time has run out. She gives Jeff seven days to meet her lists of demands and pay her the money that she is owed or Jeff’s games are going to be told to TNA management. From out of nowhere, Scott D’Amore tells Jackie that she talked to Jeff and all of her demands will be met. Scott tells Jackie that he would take care of things. Scott asks for more time. Jackie says that she will only give Jeff seven days. From out of another nowhere, Alex Shelley enters and Scott wants to know if he got anything. Alex has a tape and he tells Scott ‘waa waa wee wah’ and mentions that Jackie is a ‘kinky dame’. Scott and Alex walk away.


Team 3D vs. The Diamonds In The Rough

The start:

Before the match begins, Skipper and Young go after Team 3D on the ramp and Ray and Devon fight off Skipper and Young. Devon punches Skipper while Ray hits Young. The bell rings and Devon and Elix start things off with Devon punching Skipper. Devon throws Elix out of the ring and then he punches David Young. Skipper and Diamond trip Devon as he comes off the ropes and Young with a clothesline. Young punches Devon, but Devon kicks Young in the chest and Ray is tagged in. Ray with punches and clotheslines for Young and Skipper and then he throws Young out of the ring. Simon pulls Elix out of the ring when Team 3D tries for the 3D.

Mid-match notes:

From out of nowhere, America’s Most Wanted and Gail Kim come out on the Stage of Heelish Impact. Chris Harris has a mic and he tells Team 3D that it is a shame that they cannot fulfill their promise of becoming the NWA World Tag Team Champions. They owe the fans a big thank you because they voted for Team 3D to face Team Canada and they saved Team 3D from another America’s Most Wanted beating. Devon gets the mic and he tells them that he cannot believe that they have the guts to come out. They will get their day and Team 3D will be the judge, jury, and executioner. It is time to testify. Ray gets on the mic and comments on America’s Most Wanted and Gail Kim’s attire. After they are done sending Team Canada back to their miserable country, they are coming for their NWA Tag Team Championships. Chris Harris says if they get done with Team Canada, they would love to deal with Team 3D.

The Finish:

From out of nowhere, Petey Williams and A1 try to ambush Team 3D, but Ray and Devon are able to fight them off. Devon clotheslines Petey over the top rope to the floor and Ray throws A1 over the top rope to the floor. Team 3D fight off Elix Skipper and Simon Diamond. Devon brings a table into the ring as America’s Most Wanted walk down the Ramp of Heelish Impact. Devon rolls Petey Williams into the ring, but from out of nowhere, Eric Young and Bobby Roode enter the fray. Eric and Petey attack Devon while A1 and Bobby attack Ray.

Winners: No Contest

The Aftermath:
Eric gets the plaque and he hits Devon in the head with it. Eric and Bobby with a double flap jack on Ray through the table. Eric and A1 hold Devon while Bobby Roode rubs the plaque in Devon’s face. Petey gets on the mic and he tells the crowd to respect the greatest anthem in the world as O’ Canada plays. We go to commercial.


Non-Title Match
Chasyn Rance vs. Jay Lethal vs. Samoa Joe (c)

The match:

Rance and Lethal go after Joe, but Joe pushes Rance off and he chops Lethal. Rance leaves the ring and Joe chases after him. Lethal with a springboard jumping leg lariat on Joe. Rance attacks Lethal from behind. Lethal with a hip toss and then he cartwheels into a standing drop kick. Joe with a Yakuza kick to Lethal when Jay turns around. Joe with a chop to Lethal followed by an Irish whip and a running knee in the corner. Joe tosses Lethal over the top rope to the floor. Rance backs into Joe and Joe with slaps to Rance followed by an enzuigiri. Joe pushes Rance into the corner and then hits the muscle buster followed by the choke and Rance taps.

Winner: Samoa Joe


Backstage:
Jeff Jarrett says that Christian Cage has come in to TNA and he doesn’t know what he has bitten on. We go to footage from the press conference where Christian says that this is the biggest match of his career. Jeff says that Christian has carried some momentum into this company and he has lit the wrestling world on fire. We go to Jeff Jarrett’s comments about his ‘victim’s list’ including footage of Jarrett attacking Hogan in Japan. Jarrett says that he would not be surprised to see Christian do the same thing that Sting did when he loses. He will quit and TNA will have egg on their face. Jeff asks what Christian did to deserve the title match. TNA pushed all in with Sting to be their savior, but Sting quit and walked out. Christian slid in the back door for the title shot. It has become political. If Christian wants to talk about lost opportunities ‘up north’ and how he never got the ball, it is ridiculous. If Christian thinks things are going to be greener, he will learn that he belongs in the midcard. We go to commercial.


Rhino and Ron Killings vs. Abyss and Monty Brown

The start:

Rhino and Monty start things off and Monty slaps Rhino, but Rhino punches Monty. Monty charges at Rhino, but Rhino tosses Monty over the top rope and Rhino wants Abyss in the match. Abyss comes in, but Monty trips Rhino and pulls Rhino out of the ring. Killings with a missile drop kick to Abyss and Abyss leaves the ring. Killings with a somersault plancha onto Brown and Abyss as we go to commercial.

Mid-match notes:

We are back and Abyss with an Irish whip and he charges at Killings, but Ron with a float over. Abyss charges at Killings again, but Killing with a split. Killings with a jumping side kick followed by a head butt in the corner for a two count. Killings with an arm bar, but Abyss punches Killings. Brown is tagged in and Killings meets him with a jumping leg lariat. Killings with a flying forearm to Brown and Monty goes outside the ring. Killings with an enzuigiri to Abyss and then he goes up for the punches of ten, but Brown stops him at four and then Brown drops Killings on the top rope. Abyss with a big boot. Monty covers and gets a two count.

Killings punches Brown, but Brown with a back breaker followed by an overhead T-Bone suplex. Brown spits at Rhino. Monty with a two count on Killings and then he slams Ron’s head into the turnbuckle. Monty with an Irish whip and he tags in Abyss who charges into a Killings elbow. Abyss catches Killings when he tries for a jumping leg lariat and Abyss drops Killings on the top rope. Brown tags in and he punches Killings and hits a back elbow for a two count. Brown with a snap mare and a rear chin lock. Killings with a flying forearm to Brown and both men are down. Rhino tags in and he clotheslines Brown followed by a running back elbow. Rhino with a running shoulder tackle followed by a David Young spinebuster.

The Finish:

Rhino sets for the Gore, but Abyss charges at Rhino. Rhino moves out of the way and they exchange punches. Rhino clotheslines Abyss and both men go over the top rope to the floor. Brown catches Killings and sets up for the Alpha Bomb, but Killings escapes and he hits a flatline on Brown. Killings with Abyss and Rhino fight into the crowd. From out of nowhere, Konnan comes to ringside as Killings goes up top. Brown hits the ropes and Killings goes down. Monty hits the POUNCE for the three count.

Winners: Monty Brown and Abyss


Backstage:
Christian emerges from behind closed doors. He is on the phone and he says that the referee situation is taken care of. He says that the outside interference is getting out of control. He says that he made Sting a promise and he keeps his promises. He will be the NWA World Champion.
