We begin with a countdown to the new champion as Christian Cage comes to the ring. We see footage of the fans in the ring after Christian’s victory on Sunday before Christian enters the ring. Christian says that he has been waiting for twelve long years to do this and he holds the NWA World Heavyweight Title over his head. He dedicates his victory to everyone who has been held back. For eight years, he was told he was not big enough, that he does not have the right look, and that he does not have ‘it’. It took him to come to TNA to be in front of real wrestling fans to know what ‘it’ is. He says that the fans know what they want and you cannot fool the fans. He figured out that ‘it’ is nothing more than an opportunity, and at Against All Odds, he got his opportunity. He has the most prestigious titles in wrestling, being around for more than 90 years. It has been held by men like Dory Funk Junior, Terry Funk, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, Jack Brisco, and the list goes on and on. After twelve years of working his ass off, his name will be linked forever to theirs. To a new heavyweight champion to a new number one contender, Monty Brown. At Destination X, Monty Brown will face Captain Charisma. . . he will face Christian Cage . . . he will face the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. . . he will face ‘it’ because that is how he rolls.

He is going to turn that negative into a positive because today may be the single greatest day in his life. His battle plan has been put in place. It is not how many times you have been knocked down, it is how many times you get back up that is the mark of a real champion. Scott tells Jeff that he is still his still his champion. Jeff talks about an eight man match at Destination X where he will get rid of four of his problems. Jeff says he is confident because in one day, he eliminated an icon.
