Smackdown Opener:

The fireworks went off in the arena as Michael Cole and Tazz welcome us to the show live from Richmond!

In the arena:
Randy Orton comes to the ring and as he walks to the ring Michael Cole is adamant that Randy Orton defeated Rey Mysterio at No Way Out to get into the main event at Wrestlemania. Randy says that he is not the type of guy to come out and say ‘I told you so’, but he says it anyway. He reminds us that he will be wrestling in the main event at Wrestlemania while Rey Mysterio is not. All of Rey’s hopes, dreams, and fantasies about having a storybook victory over him at No Way Out were shattered. It did not matter who Rey dedicated his match to, Randy had destiny on his side. His destiny will be fulfilled at Wrestlemania when he becomes the World Heavyweight champion. Randy turns his attention to Kurt Angle. He says that Kurt Angle was lucky because it took luck to defeat the Undertaker. However, all the luck in the world will not help him at Wrestlemania.

When Randy wins the title at Wrestlemania, he will take his rightful spot at the top of the business. It is a sport that his family built. His grandfather was the greatest wrestler of his generation. Randy’s father was the greatest wrestler of his generation. When Randy wins the World Title, he will prove that he is the greatest wrestler of his generation. Not Kurt Angle, not the Undertaker, not Rey Mysterio, not Eddie Guerrero. Randy says that he is without peer. Nobody is better than Randy Orton. He tells the crowd that they can chant what they want. Form out of nowhere, Chavo Guerrero comes into the ring and he attacks Randy. Chavo hits the Three Amigos vertical suplex combination and then he goes up top despite security trying to get him to come down. Chavo hits a frog splash on Randy and then security comes into the ring to pull Chavo out of the ring.


WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Matt Hardy and Tatanka vs. MNM (c)
Referee: Nick Patrick

The start:

Hardy and Mercury start things off. Hardy with a side head lock and shoulder tackle for a two count. Hardy with another side head lock. Nitro tags in and Hardy blocks a punch and punches Nitro and then Mercury. Hardy with a backslide to Nitro for a two count. Hardy runs Nitro into the corner and he tags in Tatanka. Hardy and Tatanka flip Nitro over and then Tatanka with a two count. Tatanka tosses Nitro onto the turnbuckle and then he kicks Nitro until Nitro lands on the top rope.

Mid-match notes:

Tatanka with a chop and hip toss. Tatanka punches Mercury off the apron. Melina gets on the apron and that allows Mercury to pull the ropes down and Tatanka goes to the floor. Nitro and Mercury with a double suplex to Tatanka on the floor. Mercury is tagged back in and Nitro with a drop toe hold to Tatanka and Mercury with a knee to Tatanka’s neck for a two count. Mercury punches Tatanka in the corner and then he tags in Nitro who connects with a running knee into the corner. Tatanka punches his way out of the corner, but Nitro with a series of kicks to Tatanka. Mercury tags in and they hit a double back elbow for a two count. Nitro tags back in and they hit a double leg drop for a two count. Nitro runs Tatanka back into the corner, but Tatanka fights his way out of the ring.

Tatanka with a chop, but Nitro tries for a suplex. Tatanka blocks it and gets a small package on Nitro, but the referee is distracted by Mercury in the ring so he does not see the small package. Nitro with a forearm to Tatanka and then Mercury is tagged back in. They exchange kicks to before Mercury clotheslines Tatanka and he gets a two count before Hardy breaks up the cover. Nitro tags back in and he connects with a series of shoulders into the corner. Mercury tags back in, but he runs into Nitro. Tatanka with a double clothesline to Nitro and Mercury and all three men are down while Hardy waits for the tag. Hardy tags in and he clotheslines Mercury and Nitro before connecting with an elbow to Mercury and another clothesline to Nitro.

Matt with a hip toss to Mercury followed by an Irish whip and running clothesline into the corner on Nitro before coming out in with a bulldog to Nitro and a clothesline to Mercury at the same time. Hardy with a Side Effect to Mercury, but Nitro makes the save. Hardy punches Nitro and then Mercury tries for a rollup on Hardy, but Matt holds on to the ropes. Nitro kicks Hardy and Mercury with a Northern Lights suplex and bridge for a two count. Nitro and Mercury set up for the Snap Shot, but Tatanka comes into to break it up. Tatanka goes after Nitro while Matt with a sunset flip to Mercury for a two count. Hardy kicks Mercury and then Tatanka with a belly-to-back suplex while Matt hits a neck breaker at the same time, but Nitro makes the save.

The Finish:

Tatanka chops Nitro followed by an Irish whip, but Nitro moves out of the way when Tatanka charges into the corner and Tatanka runs shoulder first into the ring post. Hardy tries for the Twist of Fate on Mercury, but Melina comes in and grabs Hardy’s leg to allow Mercury to escape the hold. Hardy grabs Melina and the ref gets in the way, allowing Mercury to get a rollup with a handful of Hardy’s tights for the three count.

Winners and still WWE Tag Team Champions: MNM


Backstage:
We are back and Paul Burchill is in the locker room performing some final grooming tasks when William Regal enters the room. Regal has a letter from ‘Jenny in New England ’. The letter refers to Paul’s new appearance and a plea to prevent Burchill from embarrassing himself and William Regal since William was Paul’s former tag team partner. William asks Paul if he realizes how it makes him feel. Regal wants to know if Burchill things that the fans want to see a pirate. He reminds Burchill that he is a hooligan, not a pirate, but Paul leaves. Burchill gives Regal a bomb and then he tells Regal ‘boo’.

In the arena:
We are back and Booker T comes to the ring with Sharmell and he does not look too happy. They join Tazz and Cole at the announce table. Booker talks about the conspiracy by Teddy Long to break Booker’s spirits. Booker and Sharmell freak out when the Boogeyman comes out to the ring and blames this on Teddy Long.


Handicap Match
The Dicks vs. The Boogeyman
Referee: Chris Kay

The match:

Chad and James cower from the Boogeyman as the Boogeyman shimmies in the ring. James and Chad try to attack the Boogeyman from behind, but that does not work and the Boogeyman with an elbow to James while he throws Chad into the turnbuckle and then slams him. Boogeyman clotheslines James over the top rope to the floor. Chad with a forearm to Boogeyman’s back followed by a punch, but Boogeyman shakes it off. Boogeyman throws Chad into the ropes and that knocks James off the apron and into the announce table. Boogeyman grabs Chad by the throat and then hits a power slam for the three count.

Winner: The Boogeyman

The Aftermath:
After the match, the Boogeyman gets some worms and eats some before spitting them into Chad ’s mouth. Boogeyman sees Booker at the announce position and then he slithers out of the ring while Booker and Sharmell continue to freak out. Boogeyman walks around the ring and Booker and Sharmell leave through the crowd. Boogeyman comes to the announce table and he pours some worms on the announce table. Booker and Sharmell continue to walk through the crowd while Cole and Tazz look at the announce table.


In the arena:
Tazz and Cole continue to survey the damage that the Boogeyman brought to the announce table as it is being cleaned off.

In the arena:
Rey Mysterio comes to the ring. Rey says that it makes him happy that Eddie Guerrero will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He dedicated his performance at the Royal Rumble to his good friend and brother, Eddie Guerrero. He knows that Eddie was smiling down on him when he eliminated Randy Orton and got the chance to main event Wrestlemania. However, Randy Orton got in his head and got him so upset that he put his Wrestlemania main event opportunity on the line at No Way Out and he lost. Rey says that it is no one’s fault but his own. He let everyone down and wants to let them know that he apologizes. He apologizes to his family, to Vickie Guerrero, to Chavo Guerrero, to everyone in the arena tonight, and to Eddie Guerrero.

Teddy Long comes out to the ring. Teddy shakes Rey’s hand and then he tells Rey that everyone feels his pain. What happened to him on Sunday was wrong. Teddy wants to show everyone how wrong it was. We see footage from No Way Out when Orton pinned Rey Mysterio to get into the main event at Wrestlemania. Teddy tells Rey that he reviewed the tapes, and while he cannot reverse the decision because the referee’s decision is final. At Wrestlemania, Randy Orton will be in the main event and Teddy cannot change that. However, he can do something. He cannot take Randy Orton out of the match, he can add to the match. At Wrestlemania, it will be Randy Orton versus Kurt Angle versus Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat match.

In the arena:
Kristal Marshall comes to the ring dressed in a robe and she has the Divas Lingerie Magazine in her hands. She says that she is normally the conservative backstage interviewer, but she has another side and that is chronicled in the new Divas magazine. She wants to give a sneak peak to her ‘other side’. Jillian Hall interrupts Kristal and says that nobody wants to see her disrobe. They really want to see her client Bradshaw in action in the main event. Jillian tells Kristal to save the embarrassment and get out of the ring. Kristal asks Jillian if she thinks she looks better in the Divas Magazine and then Kristal suggests that Jillian show the crowd. Jillian calls Kristal a bimbo and then Kristal slaps Jillian twice and then she rips off Jillian’s blouse before parading around in her own bra and panties.


Cruiserweight Championship Match
Psicosis vs. Gregory Helms (c)
Referee: Charles Robinson

The start:

Helms with an arm drag into a side head lock. Psicosis gets out of the hold. Helms with a face wash to Psicosis, but Psicosis pushes back. Helms with a kick to Psicosis followed a series of kicks and punches in the corner. Psicosis with a chop to Helms followed by a back elbow and head scissors. Psicosis blocks a hip toss and hits a short arm clothesline for a two count. Psicosis with a rollup for a two count. Psicosis punches Helms, but Helms with an Irish whip. Psicosis tries to float over, but Helms grabs him and tosses Psicosis to the floor.

Mid-match notes:

Helms goes out after Psicosis and punches him and then sends him to the apron and connects with forearms to Psicosis. Helms with a cross arm slam for a two count. Helms with a suplex to Psicosis followed by knees to the back. Helms with a modified Cobra Clutch. Psicosis with a rana to Helms for a two count. Helms with a clothesline and then he puts Psicosis in a rear chin lock with his knee in Psicosis’s back. Psicosis with elbows to escape, but Helms with a forearm.

The Finish:

Helms gets Psicosis on his shoulders, but Psicosis escapes and the challenger hits a jumping spin kick for a two count. Psicosis misses a jumping spin kick and that allows Helms to hit a fireman’s carry into a jaw breaker for a two count. Psicosis goes up top, but Helms punches him. Psicosis sends Helms to the mat, but Helms pushes the referee into the ropes and that crotches Psicosis. Helms with a rollup and his feet on the ropes for the three count.

Winner and still Cruiserweight Champion: Gregory Helms


In the arena:
Tazz and Cole talk about the match, but they are interrupted by Teddy Long who comes out and says that as a way to show the fans a way to thank them for supporting Smackdown, they will have a rematch next week as Kurt Angle faces the Undertaker for the World Title.

Backstage:
Before Randy Orton comes out, Randy yells at Teddy Long and he wants to know what Teddy is doing to him by having Taker face Kurt Angle next week and then putting Rey Mysterio in his title match. Randy calls Teddy the worst GM ever. Teddy tells Randy to get stepping or he might take him out of his title match at Wrestlemania. Randy gets stepping.


Six Man Tag Team Match
Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit and Bobby Lashley vs. Finlay, John Bradshaw Layfield and Randy Orton
Referee: Jim Korderas

The start:

Orton and Mysterio start things off and Rey punches Orton and then hits a wheelbarrow, but Orton with a forearm to Rey’s back. Orton with a forearm to Rey, but Rey with a tilt-a-whirl head scissors. Rey with a drop toe hold and Orton gets to the ropes, but Randy gets up and tags in Finlay. Lashley tags in. Finlay with a knee and forearm followed by European uppercuts. Finlay covers, but Lashley kicks out quickly. Lashley with an Irish whip, but Finlay with a thumb to the eyes. Finlay charges at Lashley, but Bobby with a back body drop and then he knocks Orton and Bradshaw off the apron. Lashley with a double leg take down to Finlay for a two count, but Bradshaw breaks up the cover then all six men get into the ring as we go to commercial.

Mid-match notes:

We are back and Benoit gets Bradshaw into the Sharpshooter and Bradshaw makes it to the ropes. Benoit with a snap elbow drop to Bradshaw followed by a kick and Lashley tags in. Lashley with knees to Bradshaw followed by a belly-to-belly suplex and a back body drop. Lashley with a spear to Bradshaw, but Finlay breaks up the cover. Bradshaw with an eye poke and then Orton is tagged in. Lashley with an arm bar and he tags in Rey who hits a springboard double sledge to the arm followed by a drop kick to the arm. Orton pushes Rey off and then he tags in Finlay who kicks Rey in the chest followed by a slam and seated splash.

Finlay with a reverse chin lock to Rey followed by an elbow to Rey’s chest and then he returns to the reverse chin lock. Bradshaw tags in and he punches Rey followed by a forearm. Bradshaw with a boot to Rey’s face. Bradshaw with a head butt to Rey. Rey ducks a big boot and he hits a tilt-a-whirl head scissors. Finlay kicks Rey in the back and Rey tries for a pescado, but Finlay pulls out the ring skirt to crotch Rey. Finlay hot shots Rey on the apron. Bradshaw rolls Rey back in and gets a two count. Bradshaw with a series of forearms to Rey’s back followed by a bear hug. Rey is able to escape the hold, but Bradshaw with a shoulder tackle and Benoit breaks up the cover. Finlay comes in and he puts Rey in a reverse chin lock.

The ref tells Finlay to go back to the apron since he did not see the tag. Orton is tagged in and Orton kicks Rey followed by two knee drops for a two count. Orton with a reverse chin lock to Rey. Rey makes it to the ropes. Orton with an Irish whip, but Orton charges into boots from Rey. Rey with a tilt-a-whirl head scissors that sends Orton into the ring post and both men are down. Benoit and Bradshaw tag in. Benoit with a running double sledge followed by chops to Bradshaw and Finlay. Benoit with a back body drop to Finlay followed by a German suplex to Orton and Bradshaw. Benoit gives one to Finlay as well. Benoit goes up top for the diving head butt on Bradshaw, but Finlay breaks up the cover.

The Finish:

Lashley comes in and he slams Finlay’s head into the turnbuckle followed by punches as they fight outside. Rey goes after Orton outside the ring. Bradshaw with a boot to Benoit and when Bradshaw tries for the Clothesline from Wall Street, Benoit counters with the Crossface, but Benoit cannot lock it in before Finlay interferes. Benoit with a German suplex to Finlay and then he hits a running drop kick to Bradshaw’s hand in the ring steps. Rey tags in and he hits the 619 and springboard leg drop for the three count.

Winners: Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit and Bobby Lashley
