- Tajiri has issued a challenge to All Japan Triple Crown champion Minoru Suzuki. Speaking of Tajiri, the Japanese publication Weekly Pro Wrestling has selected Tajiri vs. The Esperzana (Takada) from 6/17 as Hustle's match of the year.
- Weekly Pro Wrestling named Giant Bernard (ex A-Train, Albert, etc.) vs. Yuji Nagata as New Japan's match of the year.
- There appears to be no truth to rumors that New Japan is attempting to book Kurt Angle for the promotion's 1/4 Tokyo Dome show.
- CMLL in Mexico is pushing for a Kenzo Suzuki vs. Rey Bucanero hair vs. hair match somewhere down the line.
- Former WWF and WCW star Barry Darsow (take your pick, Demolition Smash, Krusher Khruchev, Repo Man, etc.) is now a real estate broke in Maple Grove, MN.
