RODDY PIPER HOSPITALIZED

WWE.com has posted a short story about Roddy Piper, noting he has been hospitalized in Oregon following his return from WWE's tour of the United Kingdom.

As reported earlier this week on PWInsider.com, Piper and Ric Flair dropped the World Tag Team Championship on Raw to Edge & Randy Orton without Piper being involved in the match due to what was believed to be some type of intestinal/bowel problem.

According to the WWE.com article, the original diagnosis was that Piper was suffering from kidney stones, but they are reporting that his surgery "may be the result of disc problems". You can read the WWE.com article by clicking here (http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/35495281).

Although WWE.com has not stated so, Piper has to be considered questionable (at the very least) to take part in the Survivor Series, where he is scheduled to team with Ric Flair, Sgt. Slaughter & Dusty Rhodes (with Arn Anderson at ringside) to face the Spirit Squad.

Due to Piper's injury, he will not participate at Survivor Series; Ric Flair's team will now include a Legend to be named.

Be a shame if he missed Survivor Series, I was looking forward to that. Wouldn't be surprised if they bring in Simmons or Hulk Hogan to replace him. I wonder if this condition is the reason he was put out of the match so early on RAW this week.

IRS is a great guess.... but it very well could be Simmons. he would e the most physically capable one of the group.

I don't think Arn, physically, can wrestle anymore and I don't think many people want to see I.R.S take the spot. I would choose Ron, if I had the choice. He is a former world champion, who can probably still at least half ass wrestle, while the others are very far over the hill.
