The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission last night ruled that Smackdown and other WWE programming airing in the country be banned while authorities continue to investigate the death of a boy who died after playing with friends who, according to reports in Indonesia, were copying wrestling moves they had seen on the WWE show.

An announcement this morning has been made by Lativi, who air WWE programming in Indonesia, with Linda Rifai of the network stating that “Since last night, we have run an announcement saying sports entertainment programs Raw, ECW and SmackDown would not be aired.” No announcement was made on whether the move would be indefinite or not.

As we reported yesterday (and click here (http://www.wrestlemag.com/news/index.php?p=3844) if you missed our original report on this story), cabinet ministers in the country had already called for a ban, with Lativi refusing to back down and instead move Smackdown back an hour from its normal 9pm time slot to 10pm
