Store Manager Gets Assaulted With Potatoes
A grocery store manager in Ohio was struck in the head with a 10-pound sack of potatoes by a customer, who was angry about having to wait in line.
The store manager, Scott Renzenbrink, told police a clerk was having problems with a customer and called him to the register. As he went to the clerk, the customer told him she was upset about the wait and struck the manager in the back of head with the potatoes when he was walking away after the conversation.
A witness followed the woman out to the parking lot and took down her license plate number.
Renzenbrink says he was not seriously hurt but was considering filing assault charges against the woman.
It will probably be the first 'assault with Potatoes' charge the town has seen.
