UK Businessman Falls Asleep On Railway Track

A drunken businessman who fell asleep on a railway track causing rush hour disruption has been sentenced to 180 hours of community service in the UK.

Network Rail staff said that it took them half an hour to try and wake the man, Kevin Craswell, after he passed out on a railway line near southern England, after drinking a large amount of vodka.

Also presented were video pictures taken by a police helicopter which showed him using the track as a pillow with a train passing near his head on another line.

Rail services were disrupted for about four hours during the afternoon rush hour. Craswell pleaded guilty to "obstructing the railway by neglect" and has been ordered to pay more than $1000 compensation for the disruption.
