_ Jason Williams, Red Wings, scored twice as Detroit defeated Vancouver 7-3.

_ Patrick Marleau, Sharks, scored two power-play goals, recording his 400th NHL point on the first, as San Jose rallied for a 6-5 win over Colorado.

_ Daymond Langkow and Jarome Iginla, Flames, each had a goal and an assist as Calgary edged Minnesota 3-2.

_ Joffrey Lupul, Mighty Ducks, snapped a third-period tie and Anaheim rallied from a two-goal deficit for its eighth win in 11 games, 4-3 over Columbus.

ADVANTAGE?

Chicago went 0-for-5 on the power play in Sunday's 3-2 loss to Phoenix and is now 0-for-26 with the man advantage over its last seven games. The Blackhawks (21-37-9) also lost their 21st one-goal game. ... New Jersey failed to cash in on four power-play chances Sunday night against Ottawa and is 0-for-18 on the power play over the last four games.

SNAPPED

Shane Doan, Paul Mara and Mike Comrie each scored as Phoenix beat former goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin for the first time in six games with a 3-2 win over Chicago on Sunday. Khabibulin began his career with the Winnipeg Jets, who moved to Phoenix in 1996, and played five seasons with the franchise.

SLIPPING

The New York Islanders have lost three straight following a four-game winning streak after a 5-2 setback at Tampa Bay on Sunday. The Islanders trail Montreal by five points for the final playoff spot in the East

ON THE ROAD

Calgary won on the road for the first time in over a month with a 3-2 victory at Minnesota on Sunday. The Flames, who hadn't won an away game since defeating San Jose on Feb. 6., improved to 1-2 on a season-high seven-game road trip.

SCORING SURGE

Jason Williams scored two goals and Detroit netted seven scores for the third time in nine games with a 7-3 victory at Vancouver on Sunday. The Red Wings, who moved one point ahead of Ottawa for the NHL lead, improved to 8-1 in March and have outscored the opposition 42-25 during that span.

BACK ON TOP

Dany Heatley's power-play tally keyed a three-goal second period as Ottawa went on to beat New Jersey 4-0 on Sunday night to regain sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference. The Senators have 10 wins in 12 games, and their 98 points moved them two points ahead of Carolina in the conference.

LIGHTS OUT

Chad Kilger scored on a penalty shot with 6:51 remaining to lead Toronto to a 1-0 victory over Pittsburgh on Sunday in a game that was delayed twice by power failures. Both play stoppages came during the second period at Mellon Arena, which opened in 1961 and is the NHL's oldest arena.

ALL-TIME LISTS

Joe Sakic earned his 901st assist during Colorado's 6-5 loss to San Jose on Sunday, tying him with Bryan Trottier for 15th on the all-time list. Sakic also recorded his 1,467th point to move into a tie with Stan Mikita for 11th on that list. Teammate Pierre Turgeon recorded his 20th goal to move into a tie with Jean Beliveau for 31st place on the career list with 507.
