We start with clips of Mitchell tormenting Abyss last week, followed by Joe and Angle brawling all over the building.

Again, Kurt Angle stormed into Jim Cornette's office right at the start. Cornette hung up the phone and said he's given Angle everything that he wants, but now it's time for Angle to do something for him. Angle asked why he should do that. Cornette reminded Angle that he has a say in who gets a shot at the NWA Title. Angle said it had better be worth his while. Cornette leaned back in his chair and whispered, "It's going to be worth my while." Sounds like a little blackmail from the authority figure. Intriguing start to the show.

1 -- MATT BENTLEY (w/Kazarian and Devine) vs. KURT ANGLE. Tenay and West talked about the iron man match at the PPV and why people should purchase the PPV to see more action like last week. Angle tossed Bentley to the ground as the rotating camera made me dizzy. Kazarian distracted Angle from the outside, then Bentley gave Angle an overhead slam. Angle began his comeback as they did fifteen thousand camera cuts. Angle then hit three German suplexes. Kazarian ran into the ring and took a German. Likewise for Devine. Angle then hit the Olympic Slam on Bentley and locked in the Anklelock for a tap out. WINNER: ANGLE IN 3:00. Word of caution: don't eat dinner right before watching Impact. You might lose your meal with so many dizzying camera cuts. And you think I'm kidding.

They cut backstage where Team 3D was in a tank sporting camouflauge. Brother Devon hummed as Ray cut a promo declaring war on LAX. He said they're here to take out Konnan and drag him down. Ray told Devon to get the bazookas.

[Commercial Break]

We saw footage from during the break when Raven, in some sort of masquerade ball/Donnie Darko/penguin mask caned Bentley for losing to Angle.

Tenay and West talked about a cage ringside. On the door was a "Reserved" sign.

[Q2]

Borash interviewed Samoa Joe in his locker room. Joe said he didn't get involved in Angle's match because he was intersected not to. He said what he cares about is his agenda. Joe vowed to make Angle suffer at the PPV. He warned Angle that there's 50 minutes left in the show and he had better watch his back.

James Storm walked out for a six-man tag match with Gail Kim, who came out on stage with her arms folded. Tenay said Gail has to make a decision of Storm or Chris Harris this week. On the way to the ring, Storm got in the face of a fan ringside. Chris Sabin walked out and did his unexplainable and extended wink for the hard camera. Styles walked out and the audio sweetener came on full blast with a sudden chorus of boos.

[Commercial Break]

2 -- JAMES STORM (w/Gail Kim) & CHRIS SABIN & A.J. STYLES vs. PETEY WILLIAMS & X Division champion CHRISTOPHER DANIELS & RHINO. Rhino came out last and the action broke down. Petey and Sabin settled things down before Rhino tagged in. Styles cheapshotted Rhino from behind, then tagged in and went for a quick pin. Styles worked over Rhino in a natural corner as the fans chanted, "A.J. sucks." Rhino made a quick comeback with a powerslam. Daniels took a hot tag and dropped Sabin with a DVD. He gave Storm an STO into the Koji Clutch. Sabin broke up the hold, then Petey took him to the floor with a slingshot huracanrana. Out of nowhere, Rhino Gored Storm. Styles knocked down Rhino, then it came down to Styles and Daniels in a face-to-face. Styles tried to calm down his former partner, but quickly attacked him. They had a brief exchange before Styles came up holding his knee. Daniels didn't quite take the bait, but referee Earl Hebner distracted him, allowing Styles to roll up Daniels for the win. Styles and Sabin hugged afterward. WINNERS: STYLES & SABIN & STORM IN 4:00. Rushed match, but the story at the end was well told. Styles has embraced his role and it's made for good TV.

James Mitchell was backstage with Borash. He said that for the first time in eighteen months, he doesn't know where Abyss is. Mitchell solemnly said Abyss backed him into the corner and he had to issue an ultimatum. He said he would reveal Abyss's secret if he doesn't show him some loyalty. Mitchell told Abyss to make a decision or he spills the beans. Great promo. We've seen so many yell-and-scream promos from Mitchell, that it was a great change of pace to see Mitchell calm and to the point, similar to Edge and HBK's promos on Raw.

[Q3]

The final PCS contest is Texas Hold 'Em. Nash had the green visor. Shelley accused Starr of peeking at his cards. Oddly enough, Starr and Shelley ended up tied with 20 points in the PCS. Nash said they would have a...ten-minute-time-limit match at the PPV. He said if there's no winner in 10 minutes, the decision would go to the judges. Nash said it would be up to him to decide who the judges are. It all makes sense now. Nash = Michael Scott. Shelley = Dwight Schrute. Starr = Jim Halpert.

Borash sat down with Chris Harris for an interview. Wearing a black eye patch, Harris said he might lose vision in his right eye and he doesn't know if he'll ever return to the ring. Harris said he never thought Storm would ever turn on him and he doesn't know what's going on in Storm's head. Harris said he never wanted AMW to end like this.

They cut back to ringside where Team 3D took out Konnan ringside. Brother Ray challenged LAX to an NWA Tag Title match at the PPV. He said the fight was "all of us" vs. LAX. Ray held up an American flag in the ring. Not exactly embracing the Hispanic audience by making it an "us vs. them" thing. In the year 2007, LAX should be heels based on breaking rules, not ethnicity.

[Commercial Break]

Borash was backstage waiting for Team 3D's arrival in the Impact zone. Eric Young interrupted and pulled out some pills. He said he feels tender in his breasts. Team 3D interrupted and said LAX is the only thing standing between them and wrestling history by becoming NWA tag champs for the first time. Ray said LAX is dead.

They cut to footage of VKM going to the Alamo. B.G. asked Kip if he was sure the shuttle they were on would lead them to the Alamo. B.G. stepped off the shuttle at the Alamo...rent-a-car location. B.G. quoted Harry Dunn from Dumb and Dumber about that John Denver being full of s--- when they arrived in San Antonio not to find the Alamo. They aired some footage in fast-forward of VKM running around like clowns at the Alamo causing chaos. B.G. said they were declaring victory because they didn't find Hickenbottom anywhere.

[Q4]

Tomko and Christian Cage walked to the ring to meet Cornette, who told Christian he was going to be locked in the cage or lose his title shot at the PPV. Christian said he wants to know who is going to force him into the cage. Cornette said he has someone in mind who owes him a favor to thed his fist. Christian managed to grab the keys that were on the floor and unlock himself. He ran into the ring and broke up a pin by Abyss on Tomko to cause a DQ. WINNER: ABYSS VIA DQ IN 6:00. Inconsequential match with so much else happening.

The lights went off, then came back on and Sting knocked down Christian and Tomko with a baseball bat. Abyss and Sting remained in the ring, then Abyss raised Sting's hand. His music hit, then Abyss put Sting in the torture rack. He looked at Mitchell, who held up the NWA Title belt to Abyss's eyes. Abyss then gave Sting the Shock Treatment. Mitchell and Abyss embraced and Abyss held up the NWA Title belt to close the show. Strong conclusion to the show with Abyss in a position of control, while showing Sting in a position of vulnerability heading into the title match. Of course, you can't ignore the Horsemen-turning-on-Sting overtone with Sting being gullible enough to believe in Abyss and having egg on his face.

I think the PCS and the VKM sketch was pretty bad but the action in ring side was really good. :) Has anyone noticed James Storm' entrance music? It's cool. :D
