CHICAGO (AP) -- The U.S. soccer team will play Angola in a closed scrimmage in Hamburg, Germany, on June 5, a week before the Americans' opener in the World Cup.

The Angola Football Federation announced Monday it would play an exhibition game on that day against the United States, but the U.S. Soccer Federation said it would not be an official match and no spectators would attend.

The United States, coming off a 4-1 loss last week at Germany, has four exhibition games remaining before the World Cup, all at home against nations that failed to qualify for the 32-nation field: Jamaica on April 11 at Cary, N.C.; Morocco on May 23 at Nashville, Tenn.; Venezuela on May 26 Cleveland; and Latvia on May 28 at East Hartford, Conn.

At the World Cup, the Americans play the Czech Republic (June 12), Italy (June 17) and Ghana (June 22).

Angola is preparing for its first World Cup.
