what was the biggest thing that happened in wrestling in 2006?

I think the fact that Edge won the title in 06 was pretty big for the WWE. Also the whole DX return was big as well. But I liked the fact that Edge finally won the title was big IMO

for me, nothing comes closeto angle going to tna as it came out of nowhere and it seems as thought him going to tna has given them more exposure and more credibility seeing as he's arguably the greatest wrestler of all time

Yeah Kurt Angle to TNA because it was kept secret so well. I actually saw the announcement on youtube and thats how I got into wrestling in the first place lol ^^

2006 was a very boring year in the wrestling business. Nothing really comes close to Angle going to TNA, but that didn't even matter in the grand scheme of things. TNA is no better today then they were without Angle.

Have to agree with some of the above. The biggest thing to come out of 2006. Wrestling got boring..again. No characters worth the time to develop. Poor characters being pushed to fill the void.

I'm afraid that maybe one too many wrestlers are being pushed whilst a lot are being underused.

Like everyone else has stated, for me it would have to be Angle to TNA, with Edge winning the belt for the first time in a close second.
