Irwin's Final Documentary
Updated: 11:59, Monday January 29, 2007

The final documentary by naturalist Steve Irwin has been screened.

The film, called Ocean's Deadliest, was made late last year and shows the Australian in the days leading up to the point when he was killed by a stingray.

The documentary features an introduction by his widow Terri and is narrated by explorer Philippe Cousteau, grandson of the famous oceanographer Jacques.

In the film, Irwin and Cousteau investigate the dangerous creatures that live in the waters of Australia's eastern shores.

They come face-to-face with saltwater crocodiles, venomous sea snakes and dive with Great White sharks.

The 90-minute documentary, aired on Australia's Channel 9, does not include footage of the fatal attack on Irwin, copies of which have been destroyed.
