Snitsky vs. Val Venis

It wasn’t my fault, but what would the first episode of HEAT in 2006 without the King of HEAT, Val Venis, and of course, Snitsky? Val Venis gave his towel to a grandma at ringside. As he entered back in to the ring, Snitsky tries to cheap shot him but misses. Val starts unloading with right hands, and the match is under way! Venis backs Snitsky in to a corner and chops him and then climbs to the second turnbuckle, unloading with punches. Snitsky pushes him off of himself. Venis gets back up, and rams Snitsky’s head in to a turnbuckle. Another chop in the corner, and more mounted punches by Venis. Snitsky pushes him off once again. Snitsky runs towards Venis, but is met with a couple of chops. Irish Whip by Venis, and he follows Snitsky in to the ropes with a knee to the gut on both sides of the ring. Venis attempts a side Russian leg sweep, but Snitsky shoves him off. Snitsky goes for an elbow drop, but misses. Venis puts Snitsky back in the corner, and gives him several shoulder blocks to the midsection. Another whip attempt by Venis, but this time it’s reversed. Snitsky catches Venis with a huge power slam on the rebound. Snitsky stomps away at Venis. He picks Venis up and throws him back first in to the turnbuckle. Snitsky connects with a right hand in the corner. Snitsky brings him out of the corner and body slams him. He rolls Venis over and drops a couple of elbows on his injured back. Snitsky goes for a pin, but only gets a two count. Snitsky picks up Venis and slaps on a bear hug. The crowd gets behind Venis, who starts to elbow Snitsky in the head to break the hold. He breaks free, and the two men begin to trade right hands. Venis gains the advantage and fights Snitsky back to the ropes. An Irish Whip attempt by Venis is reversed, but Val still takes Snitsky down with a clothesline. A back elbow sends him down again. A big right hand sends Snitsky down a third time. Snitsky gets back up swinging, but gets ducked, and Venis attempts a half nelson suplex. Snitsky blocks this, and gives Venis a back elbow to the jaw. Snitsky with a boot to the midsection. Snitsky sets Venis on the top turnbuckle. Snitsky connects with a couple of right hands to the prone Val Venis. Snitsky climbs to the second rope and attempts to superplex Venis, but he begins to punch Snitsky in the ribs. Venis pushes Snitsky off. Venis attempts to capitalize, and goes for the Money Shot, but Snitsky rolls out of the way. Snitsky tries to take Venis’ head off with a big boot, but he ducks it. Venis tries for a quick roll up, but only gets a two count. A second attempt, and Snitsky hits the big boot. He covers Val and gets the win.

Winner: Snitsky by pinfall

The Heart Throbs vs. Fred Sampson and Scotty Charisma

Antonio grabs the mic and tells Romeo that he heard that some of the most beautiful women live right there in New Jersey . Romeo says he heard that too, and that they want to find two hot Jersey girls that can dance, and that the Heart Throbs can make say “Oh, oh, oh…” Antonio says he wants to find some ladies that will make their heart’s throb. They proceed to use the “Throb-o-meter” to find some hot ladies. What is the “Throb-o-meter” you HEAT fans may ask? Why, that would be the Heart Throbs thrusting their pelvises and making beep noises towards the crowd. You know. Just like a metal detector, only much more provocative. They find their winners. Romeo, very sarcastically, tells us how convenient it is that there are two hot chicks in the front row. The two hot chicks (for those that hadn’t already heard), were Trinity and Talia. They hit the Heart Throbs’ music briefly and begin to dance. Antonio tells them to stop the music. He says what he thinks the people really want to see is the two ladies dance with each other. As the girls start to dance again, Sampson and Charisma attack the Heart Throbs from behind. The women clear the ring and the match gets started. A double Irish Whip by Sampson and Charisma, and the Throbs catch themselves on the ropes. A pair of boots to the midsection by the Heart Throbs, and they throw both men outside of the ring. Double slingshot planchas by the Heart Throbs. They get back in the ring, and give Charisma a double arm wringer, and a double chop. Antonio attempts to pin Charisma, but only gets two. An arm wringer by Antonio, who makes a quick tag to Romeo. The whip him in to the ropes and nail him with a double back elbow. Double elbow drop on Charisma. Romeo goes for a pin, but barely gets two. An Irish Whip by Romeo. He puts his head down, and Charisma kicks him in the chest. Charisma tags in Sampson. Sampson charges Romeo, but gets caught with a sit out hip toss. An arm wringer by Romeo, and he makes the tag to Antonio, who climbs the ropes. Antonio drops a double axe handle on the exposed arm of Fred Sampson. Another arm wringer, and a quick tag in back to Romeo. Double Irish Whip and a double hip toss on Sampson. The both roll to the corner of Charisma, and land a double punch that knocks him off the apron. Romeo whips Sampson in to a corner and charges in after him, but gets side stepped. Sampson quickly makes the tag to Charisma. He snaps Romeo’s throat across the top rope from off the ring apron. Charisma hurries back in to cover him, but only gets a one count. A front face lock is applied to Romeo. Romeo tries to fight his way to his corner, but Charisma lets go of the face lock and punches Antonio. When he turns his attention back to Romeo, he is met with a big backdrop. Romeo falls forward and makes the tag to Antonio. Antonio crosses the ring and nails Sampson. He kicks Charisma in the midsection and suplexes him. Antonio whips him in to the corner, and follows him in with a clothesline. An arm wringer and another Irish Whip in to the corner. Antonio hits the side ropes, and face plants Charisma on the rebound. A tag is made to Romeo. Sampson jumps in and tries to interfere, but gets backdropped out of the ring. The Heart Throbs connect with a double sweep slam on Charisma and Romeo gets the pin and the victory. The Heart Throbs go to ringside and celebrate with the hot Jersey girls.

A recap is shown of the First Blood Match between John Cena and Kurt Angle from RAW

Matt Striker’s Classroom

Striker comes out to a round of boos. He shushes the crowd and tells them to settle down. He asks for the attention of “the class”. He says that everyone knows he is Matt Striker, but asks the crowd what he is. Insert your favorite swear word here. He corrects them and explains that he is our teacher. This episode’s “important” topic is about…Matt Striker. He explains that he grew up across the river in New York City . He worked there as a High School social studies teacher. The crowd begins a “You got fired” chant. He continues to brag about his IQ and SAT scores. He informs us of his enjoyment of classical music, and the fact that he can speak over 17 different languages, including ebonics… But, he lets us know that he does not smoke the pot. Striker tells us it’s important to know all of these facts about him, and that he is going to reprogram all of us. Another waste of a segment…

Viscera vs. Tyson Tomko

Mercifully, it’s time for our maaaaiiiinnnnn event! Tomko hits the ring and immediately starts laying in right hands on Viscera and the referee calls for the bell to get the match under way. Tomko kicks Vis in the midsection and tries to Irish Whip him, but Viscera blocks it and reverses it in to the corner. Big body slam on Tomko. Viscera then shoves Tomko through the ropes to the floor. As Tomko starts to get in Viscera approaches him. Tomko grabs Big Vis’ head, and snaps his throat across the top rope as he drops back to the floor. Tomko gets back in and punches Viscera a couple of times. He again tries to whip Viscera, but gets thrown back in to the corner. Viscera tries to splash Tomko in the corner, but he gets out of the way. Tomko hits the far ropes, and nails Viscera with a shoulder block that sends him down. Tomko goes for the pin, but Viscera kicks out. Tomko hammers away on the back of the neck of Big Vis. Viscera tries to fight back with a chop, but then Tomko starts punching him in the face. He then DDT’s the big man. Tomko goes for another pin attempt, but a big kick out by Viscera. A rear chin lock is applied by Tomko. Viscera hooks Tomko, stands up, and drops him down with a Samoan Drop. Viscera gyrates his hips, and goes for a big splash, but Tomko rolls out of the way. A couple more right hands by Tomko. He then hits the ropes, but is met by a spinning heel kick by Viscera. Vis goes for the double choke bomb, but Tomko punches free. Tomko goes for the big boot, but Viscera move, and Tomko is left straddling the top rope. Viscera goes for the double choke bomb again, which we are informed is called the Sex Drive . He connects and get the pin.
