America, get ready for some football, or as we like to call it, soccer.
Major League Soccer (MLS) had it's opening games of the 2006 season Saturday. With 2 expansion teams added in Houston and New York City, bringing the total number of MLS franchises to 12, and interest in the league steadily increasing in this country, this is almost guaranteed to be an action packed and memorable season for American soccer fans.
I was wondering if there were any UOW members who know about MLS, watch it, have a favorite team, etc. The rest of the world tends to view the U.S. as a non-football country. I think that perception is slowly changing. Am I alone here?
