Los Angeles - The move to Los Angeles of English soccer star David Beckham and his wife Victoria is to be chronicled in an NBC television reality show, Daily Variety reported on Wednesday.

The Hollywood entertainment industry trade paper said that Victoria Beckham, known as Posh Spice from her days in the 1990s pop group the Spice Girls, has signed a deal with the network for six episodes of a half-hour comedy reality show about the move.

There was no official confirmation from NBC but Daily Variety quoted the show's producer, Simon Fuller, the former manager of the Spice Girls and the man behind television's "American Idol."

"For the past few years I've been inundated with requests to make a show based on Victoria's real life. After much thought, we have finally decided to do it. NBC will be our partners," Fuller was quoted as saying.
The show will follow the 32-year-old singer and model as she sets up home in Los Angeles and uproots her life, her three children and her career from London and Spain, where the couple now live. It is expected to air in the next few months.

The couple will move to the United States in August when David Beckham, the former England captain who now plays for Spanish club Real Madrid, begins a five-year contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team in a deal worth $250-million.

"The show is really something different. It's pushing the boundaries and I think it is going to surprise a lot of people," Victoria Beckham was quoted as saying.

The Beckhams are among Britain's most talked-about celebrity couples but are less well-known known in the United States.
