Japanese legend Jushin "Thunder" Liger will not appear at the TNA Lockdown PPV on 4/23 in Orlando, Florida, where he was scheduled to challenge TNA X-Division champion Christopher Daniels.
According to a source in Japan, there was a communication snafu when Liger was booked, and he'll be remaining in Japan to appear on the New Japan tour that week instead of traveling to the United States. I was told the error was not made by TNA, but by someone on the New Japan side.
TNA has already removed the Liger vs. Daniels match from their Lockdown website and are expected to announce the replacement match shortly, with a Gauntlet bout the most likely option.
Damn that sucks. I was really looking forward to seeing Liger/Daniels at Lockdown. I wonder who TNA will replace Liger with now?
