TNA taped the next few episodes of Impact tonight at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
Impact 3/15:
*The Six Sides of Steel are up in the ring. Jim Cornette came out and announced the main event for Lockdown, a 5 vs. 5 Lethal Lockdown match with two minute intervals. He announced the captain of one team will be NWA champion Christian Cage. Cage comes out onto the stage. Cornette announces the other captain is Kurt Angle. Angle comes out on the opposite stage. Cornette tells them that it is up to them to pick their teams and advises them to choose quickly and wisely.
*AJ Styles comes to the ring wearing a neck brace, using a crutch. He enters the cage and asked the fans if they got what they wanted at Destination X. He claims that he'll never be the same after what Rhino did to him and won't be able to wrestle. He demands Rhino come to the ring to explain to Styles' wife how AJ won't be able to bring any money home. Rhino comes down to the ring and enters the cage. Rhino demands to know if the situation between them is over. They shake hands. Rhino turned to leave, but Styles tries to nail him with the crutch. Rhino blocks the shot. Styles hit him with a lowblow then nailed him in the head with the crutch. Styles locked the cage and attacked Rhino. Christian Cage hits the ring and they work over Rhino. Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe come to the ring. Styles heads to the back. Cage was left in the cage with all three, but escaped over the top of the cage.
*The cage was taken down after this segment.
*In what may have been a dark segment, Kevin Nash and Jeremy Borash try to get Jay Lethal to come out and do the Randy Savage impression.
*On camera, Kevin Nash and Sonjay Dutt are in the ring and Nash claims that Lethal refuses to come out and hear the song that was specifically written for him. The song is a souped up version of "Pomp and Circumstance" the old Randy Savage theme.
*Jay Lethal won a Three-Way over Kaz and Jerry Lynn. Christopher Daniels hits the ring and nails them all with a baseball bat. He nails Last Rites on Lynn and leaves. No Raven caning for Kaz.
*NWA Tag Team champions LAX & Alex Shelley defeated Team 3D in what was said to have been a really good match. Johnny Rodz was with Team 3D. Konnan was at ringside with LAX in a wheelchair. Good brawl. Hernandez rolled up Devon after Team 3D nailed their finisher through a table on Shelley. After the match, Konnan said that they've beaten 3D in every match that they've faced them and next time, they are going to tarnish 3D's legacy.
*NWA champion Christian Cage and AJ Styles come to the ring. They announce Styles will be on Cage's team in Lockdown. Cage says they will announce the third member of the team, who is "their old friend" Abyss. Abyss comes to ringside, but doesn't go inside the ring. Cage says that they are more than a team, they are a family. The lights go out and Sting appears. Sting says that Abyss doesn't want to be on their team and saw the light at Destination X. Cage says that everything Sting says is a bunch of crap. Jim Cornette comes out and says that next week on Impact, AJ & Cage will wrestle Abyss & Sting. Sting tells Cornette that they don't need to wait and they can do it right now. All four brawl until Styles and Cage powder out.
Impact 3/22
*So Cal Val was back at ringside after selling her injuries.
*Rhino & Samoa Joe & Kurt Angle defeated Serotonin. No post-match caning from Raven again.
*Team 3D comes out and each of them is carrying a small metal case. Brother Ray is wearing a Road Warior Hawk t-shirt. He asked Homicide and Hernandez to come to ringside so they can talk. LAX comes to the ring. Ray says that it's been a long three months and LAX has gotten the better of Team 3D. He noted the history of the feud and said some people would said it was disrespectful, but the truth is the attacks were something 3D would have done ten years ago. He said in the past they've broken women's necks, thrown an 80 year old woman off a stage and sent people through flaming tables. Ray said that LAX wants a legacy but they don't understand what you need to create one - giving up for your family, traveling, bleeding, winning titles. He said that LAX will have a chance to earn their legacy and open the cases and pull out replicas of the old WCW, WWF, and ECW Tag Team championship belts. He said that at Lockdown, it will be their legacy vs. the NWA Tag Team championships. He mentioned Road Warrior Hawk and the legacy Hawk created in his career, then promised that in the end LAX will just be another team to fall to Team 3D. Konnan is wheeled out and says that they don't care about championships 3D have won in the past, because they already the "TNA champions." He said that if 3D wants a match, it's going to be on LAX's terms. He notes there is an electrified fence on the border and suggests they have an electrified cage match at Lockdown.
*Austin Starr defeated Eric Young. Robert Roode and Tracy Brooks come out during the match. Brooks gets on the apron to distract the referee, allowing Roode to interfere and cause Young's loss. They both yell at Young in the ring. Petey Williams come out and he and Roode start fighting. Brooks gets involved. Roode and Brooks leave the ring. Williams goes to shake Young's hand but before Young can accept, Roode pulls him out of the ring.
*James Storm (with Jackie Moore) vs. Jerry Lynn is scheduled. After Lynn's music plays, the referee comes out and it's announced Lynn was "injured backstage." James Storm takes the mic and says that he's sick and tired of everything that is happening and intimated he attacked Lynn. Storm says he loves two things, beating people up and drinking beer. He challenged anyone to come to the ring. Chris Harris comes out in street clothes, still wearing the patch. Gayle Kim comes out and tries to stop Harris from entering the ring. Storm grabs the mic and tells him to stop letting a woman hold him back. Moore insults Kim. Kim hits the ring and there's a catfight. Harris chases Storm to the back.
*AJ Styles & NWA champion Christian Cage defeated Sting & Abyss. Jim Mitchell returned during the match with what appeared to be Abyss' "mother". This causes Abyss to lose focus and he follows Mitchell to the back. Sting has Styles in the Scorpion Deathlock. Scott Steiner nails Sting with a pipe and Styles gets the pin over Sting.
Xplosion:
*Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt defeated Alex Shelley & TNA X-Division champion Chris Sabin after Lethal nailed a top rope elbowdrop on Shelley for the pin in a really good match.
*Robert Roode & Austin Starr defeated Senshi & Lance Hoyt in an OK match.
