The best ... Julia Roberts taking a bath
JULIA Roberts sharing a bubble bath with Richard Gere in Pretty Woman has been voted the best hotel movie scene.
The romantic moment between Gere's millionaire businessman and Roberts' hooker with a heart of gold in a suite at LA's Regent Beverly Wilshire topped a poll of film fans.In second place was something altogether more gruesome - the shower scene from Psycho.

Third was the scene from The Shining in which little Danny Torrance pedals his tricycle along the hotel corridors and comes face to face with the murdered twins.

Hotels have been the setting for some of the most memorable moments in film and more than 3000 people voted in the survey for Travelodge.

Eddie Murphy's reception desk rant in Beverly Hills Cop, which saw him blag his way into getting a room by pretending to be a journalist there to interview Michael Jackson, was fourth.

Fifth was Woody Harrelson and Demi Moore having sex on a one-million-dollar bed in Indecent Proposal. The steamy scene between Brad Pitt and Geena Davis in Thelma and Louise was sixth.

Other films to make the list were Ghostbusters, The Godfather, Trainspotting and Pulp Fiction.

The Ghostbusters scene was seventh, with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis trashing a hotel dining room as they chase a ghoul. Al Pacino hears about his father's shooting while having dinner in a hotel with Diane Keaton in The Godfather, at number eight.

In Trainspotting, Ewan McGregor does a runner from his hotel room with a bag of cash. And at number 10, in Pulp Fiction, prize-fighter Bruce Willis returns to his motel room and has a cute conversation with girlfriend Maria de Medeiros about her "pot belly".
