Press Release

Pro Wrestling Unplugged is starting their announced partnership with promotions in Mexico a little sooner than first announced.

Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere have wrestled for major independent promotions throughout the United States, Canada, England, Italy, Germany, Japan, and the West Indies. They will be adding a new country to that list, as Mexico welcomes the Backseat Boyz in May.

Current PWU Heavyweight champion Trent Acid, on behalf of himself and Backseat Boyz tag partner Kashmere, stated, “When we got the call from Mexico asking for us one month early, not only was I surprised, but honored as well. The BackSeat Boyz as a team are ready to regain what’s ours and Mexico will be our battle ground.”

On May 11, Acid and Kashmere will hit a whirlwind tour of Mexico, where they will be wrestling for XLAW, as well as meeting with ‘Super Luchas’ magazine. In addition to their meeting at ‘Super Luchas’, who has a spread on PWU in their most recent release, they will also have a special photo shoot and interview.

The BackSeat Boyz have been invited to attend the CMLL event, as well, and are in negotiations to wrestle for two other major promotions in Mexico during this tour. More will be announced about this at the PWU event this Saturday.

Acid and Kashmere’s updated schedule now includes:

Friday, April 21 – PWU – Cabrini College, Radnor, PA – 7:30 pm Saturday, April 22 – PWU & Live Netcast – New Alhambra Hall/ECW Arena, Philadelphia, PA – 2:30 pm Saturday, April 22 – NCW – Spring Grove, PA Saturday, April 29 – MXPW Tag Team Invitational – Boca Raton, FL Sunday, May 7 – WXW Live TV – Allentown, PA Thursday, May 11 – Sunday, May 15 – XLAW & Super Luchas Mexico Tour
