As promised, Sting was live at the iMPACT Zone this week! The “Lethal Lockdown” War Games match will indeed be taking place at the “Lockdown” Pay-Per-View and it’s going to be an Eight-Man War. During the night, Jeremy Borash conducted an interview with Jarrett and his team for Lethal Lockdown. Jarrett told us that Sting was back to his old ways in dictating TNA management to feed his needs but that was okay because at Lockdown, they will be dictating the pace and finish of the match because the NWA World Tag Team Champions, America’s Most Wanted would be on Jarrett’s side as will the man with the largest arms and shortest fuse in professional wrestling, the “Genetic Freak” Scott Steiner! It all comes your way on April 23 on Pay-Per-View when TNA presents “Lockdown” – Now we just have to wait and see who’s on Sting’s team!

During the interview with Borash, AMW stood by Jarrett’s side as the NWA World Tag Team Champions but it was questionable if they would be walking into Lockdown still with the gold in hand because they had a title defense ahead of them on “iMPACT!” against The James Gang. BG & Kip James took every opportunity at gaining the prestigious titles. Jackie Gayda who came ringside along with Gail Kim and AMW even tried helping The James Gang by tripping Chris Harris. Harris was irate about that and so was Gail. The two women would then brake out into an argument ringside and before you know it the match was concluding. Before The James Gang could answer the equation at winning the titles, Konnan came and changed the formula with the slapjack shot across Kip James’ head and that allocated AMW to retain the belts.

It was a bargain deal on Chris Harris & James Storm’s part because they certainly gained the better by retaining the titles while Konnan was left with the reminder of his old fashioned Arm Wrestling Match next week. “Bullet” Bob Armstrong came out to The James Gang’s aid and motioned to Konnan that he was going to break his arm next week. Konnan kept his cool-laid-back look on his face, but there was a sense of urgency to get out of the iMPACT Zone as quick as possible – almost like he was scared of “The Bullet”.

While America’s Most Wanted retained the NWA World Tag Team Titles this week, Team 3D did not retain their momentum as they were yet again maliciously beat up by all of Team Canada at the start of this weeks “iMPACT!” broadcast. It initially only started out with Team 3D and Team Canada’s Bobby Roode & Eric Young battling it out all over the arena with Brother Ray & Devon delivering nothing short of pain to their opposition. However, all that pain and hatred towards Roode & Young came right back at them as Team Canada began delivering back, but worse. Just like the conclusion of last week’s Six Sides of Steel match, it was a five on two advantage for Team Canada with Scott D’Amore even getting his chance at delivering physical punishment on Team 3D. D’Amore and his Canadian faction finished off with a burial ceremony for Team 3D under Canadian maple leaf flags. It was a real disturbing moment for any fan as Team Canada suddenly made it personal between the two gigantic nations of Canada and USA.

In one of the more shocking events witnessed on this night, we saw one of the most brutal attacks in TNA as the footage aired of Abyss assaulting NWA World Heavyweight Champion, “Captain Charisma” Christian Cage at his home in Tampa, Florida courtesy of Alex Shelley and his “Paparazzi Productions”. Christian had initially caught Shelley attempting to tape his wife and tried to stop him but “The Monster” Abyss had other plans in mind as he interfered and stopped any offense Christian was attempting to exact on Shelley. Abyss would have left Christian Cage drowning in his own swimming pool in the backyard if it were not for James Mitchell telling “The Monster” to stop because you cannot win a title from a dead man. According to Mitchell, the sick events we all witnessed will continue until Abyss gets what he wants – a shot at the World Title!

Also on this night was a Number One Contenders Match for the X-Division Championship with the winner getting a shot at the title on April 13 when “iMPACT!” moves to Thursday. The contenders were Alex Shelley, Sonjay Dutt, Chris Sabin, and none other than the undefeated “Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe. Christopher Daniels was ringside at commentary with Don West and Mike Tenay and he even admitted that he would like to get his hands on Joe one last time to prove to him and all the fans that he is without a shadow of a doubt a true X-Division Champion and that his Ultimate X Match was nothing short of a fluke. Daniels also wants the chance of breaking Joe’s one-on-one undefeated streak and that’s the chance he’s going to get because neither Sabin, Dutt, nor Shelley were able to tame and put down Samoa Joe. Dutt was pinned after the Muscle Buster and immediately thereafter, Joe went after the X-Division Champion. Daniels and Joe broke out their combustive anger towards one another into physical agony towards one another.

With Samoa Joe attempting to manually bring himself back into the X-Division, will he be able to win the title and stay in it for good like desperately wants to? Larry Zbyszko has already tried taking Joe out of the X-Division by putting him up against “The Homicidal, Genocidal, Suicidal” Sabu at Lockdown. That match will still be occurring as planned; however, it may just be for the X-Division Title if Samoa Joe can win it from Christopher Daniels when “iMPACT!” moves to Thursday’s at 11 PM ET on Spike TV!

While so much mayhem had already occurred during the broadcast, Sting had yet to appear live and Jarrett had lost his patience and hit the ring with AMW and Scott Steiner. “The King of the Mountain” hit the ring, but several TNA stars such as Ron Killings, Rhino, The James Gang, Team USA, and “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles began appearing among other stars within the iMPACT Zone. It had all lead up to Sting’s return accompanied with his patented baseball bat. Jarrett and his army with Team Canada were physically provoked and left with no other choice but to retreat from the barbaric wounds they were about to feel if they had remained there any longer.

Sting has promised to speak at next Saturday’s “iMPACT!” on Spike TV but when will we know who’s on his team for Lethal Lockdown?

Plus don’t forget that Christopher Daniels will defend his X-Division Title against Samoa Joe when TNA “iMPACT!” moves to Thursday’s at 11 PM ET on Spike TV! Sting and the rest of the TNA stars will also be at hand for the huge “iMPACT!” debut on Spike TV’s “Thursday Night Contact” lineup!

We’ll see you all next week on Saturday at 11 PM ET!

Quick Match Results:

- NWA World Tag Team Champions, America’s Most Wanted (Chris Harris & James Storm) defeated The James Gang (BG James & Kip James).
