The stage musical based on the music of ABBA, ‘Mamma Mia!’, is to be turned into a film.
Original band members Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus along with Hollywood actor Tom Hanks are planning to transform the hit show for the big screen.
According to MSN and Variety, Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have signed up to be executive producers on the film while the screenplay will be written Catherine Johnson who wrote the original stage story.
The musical tells the story of a bride who begins a search for her father which leads to three men from her mother's past, the musical features 22 ABBA songs.
Who will star in the film is anyone’s guess…
